Bumpsteer is the amount your wheels "turn" when the suspension compresses and extends. Take your car at rest with the wheels lined up and slowly push down on the front end. As the suspension compresses observe your wheels and watch them angle in/out while compressing. This is bumpsteer.
black+0 on a setup sheet means the driver is using an associated black ballstud with no washer/spacers beneath it on the steering knuckle. Usually you want to adjust the height of your steering link to have zero bumpsteer. what do u mean adjust the height on the steering link to have zero bumpsteer thanks mate for helping me |

Rumor has is that AE is coming out with a gear diff., any idea as to when it will be released??

i will have to order the gear diff as i have no luck with ball diffs...some of my issues with them are self inflicted as i tend to overpower all of my rc's and drive them accordingly....:D:D

A gear diff is not a "cure all" if your ball diff assembly and tuning skills or maintenance routine are not up to par. They handle differently on the track, and come with their own set of set up issues, tuning options, and maintenance problems.

Being an onroad noob, I still don't grasp the idea why gear diffs are preferred. As an offroader, I prefer the ball diffs in 2WD applications.

maybe i should be more specific, i guess the issues i have had with the ball diff in my blitz ese have made me leery of them. i actually have not had any issues with the one in my tc6 and i run a more powerful motor then most because i bash on parking lots.....

I wouldnt expect a new kit for at least another year or more. |
Sorry if it is a repeat
I am sure this has been covered, but I never have luck with the searches.:( I am looking for a good starting setup for 17.5 NB on carpet. It is a medium grip, new last year CRC carpet. The only carpet setups I am seeming to find is for Mod. Hopefully it will carry over to IIC too. :D
Thanks for any help in advance. |
did anyone tried RSD TC6/AE 10mm Machined Delrin Piston (1.0,1.0,1.5mm)?
does it worth $8 for 4 pistons? |

Anyone have any trouble with the turnbuckle eyelet on the front camber link rubbing on rim if using more than 1mm shim with long ballstud? Noticed on some setup they run 2mm with long ballstud on the caster block but i tried it and the rim hits the eyelet when turned. Is there a way to fix this?
|
Hi John, do you use the 6º caster blocks?
