Guess I'm running my front belt too loose. I noticed I've worn off the left side of the teeth edge the motor shaft. Is there a standard way to figure out loose enough but not too loose?
|
If you lift the belt in the middle between the pulleys it should move around 5mm up.

Probably hitting the pinion or pinion set screw...check to make sure it is all the way in towards the motor |
Does anyone have a picture of the Associated TC6 Ballast Weight (Part 31296)? I see it is available but none of the online retailers have a picture or description of it. Thanks.

$27.95 and xray weight in def not cheaper. The associated stuff adds up to 60grams 20 grams from xray is $21 dollars at amain. For 60 grams that would be $63 Associated stuff sounds like a bargain http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ight-2011-Spec |

My car balances perfect with the Associated weights |
I prefer tire balancing weights, too. Got them for free and because of their size 5 or 10 gr. you can place them everywhere in the car. Would prefer running without them but rules say 1400gr. and the allowed electronics are that light, that my 5400 50C battery has to much weight on its side. So I carry always around 100gr. extra weight in my car...
By the way only HB bodies are allowed. Mazda works fine, but looks boring. Today I tried to convert it into a BMW 320 TC in the WTCC Tom Coronel style: http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/5632/dsc0003vgr.jpg http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg220...jpg&res=medium http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg683...jpg&res=medium This is the real one: http://img810.imageshack.us/img810/5254/coronel60.jpg |
