Hey all, I just bought the TC6 yesterday! I'm upgrading from the Tamiya TA05 and I have a question regarding the Front Slipper Spool. I'm used to running a regular diff like the rear set up or a front one-way in the TA05. The directions for the TC6 slipper says to tighten thrust screw fully. Man, that is pretty tight on the diff, should I loosen it at al? It is almost feeling as if it is direct drive diff. Also, as a alternative can I run the front diff like the rear diff build? Let me know what you guys think. What"s been the best set up for you and driving conditions thus far. Thanks!

I would suggest just getting a spool for up front...

Just picked one up. Ultimatehobbies does carry it. Any build tips stickies anywhere? Is there a wiki page? My 3x14 screw for bulkhead seems to go past bulkhead. Is that ok?

Thanks phattyphatty4x2 and m abramowiaz
I have just assembled the tc6 its very stiff and the front belt does seem quite tight to the top deck. But really pleased. Just out of interest did anyone else find the tc6 very tight at end of build. |
The belts will free up with use. Just make sure you haven't set the cams too tight and that left and right are set the same.

has anyone had there wheel bearings cracking and braking down, i've just cleaned my car and found 3, just the out side ones. :flaming::flaming:
|
yup about three broken outer hub bearings
|
do you think this is the norm?
|
has anyone notice the plastic ball cups from the shock splitting? especially the front ones, better check on yours. I replaced mine with Tamiya or I guess any other would work but Tamiya is the only spare i had ATM.

Does the TC6 use the same shock springs as the tc3 or 4?
Thanx.... |
