Running on epoxy coated concrete with really good traction, I get between 15 and 20 five minute runs. Once I get the ring of death, the tires don't work very well.

The ring of death... I'm trying a slightly different setup on my car to see if the ring of death is caused by too much camber during full roll.

That's exactly what it is. The USGT tires don't flex a great deal, so the more your setup can keep those tires flatter and in full-contact with the surface, the longer they will last. On carpet, we usually run the camber at no more than 1-deg, and with the proper setup, should wear edge-to-edge instead of the inside edge developing the ring of death.

With the correct setup and proper car and maintenance by ensuring they remain glued throughout their life, not factoring for surface, you should be able to get 30-50 runs out of them.

New compound only lasts 5 race days on asphalt and the last two race days the tires are getting bad already. No ring of death due to 1 degree camber but the outside shoulder starting to round off from rolling. Also with summer heat the tire surface gets sort of wrinkly.
approximately 20 runs.

Which will help the belted tyres significantly, once we crack the question of which traction compound works the best with that new rubber formulation.

Try to figure out who at your track looks the most helpful, and then get the same car as them.

What was the mixture comprised of? We can help based on that.

I just got back in to carpet racing within the past year and went with Xray. You cant beat their manual for setup information and explanations, plus there are a whole treasure trove of videos on YouTube for the cars. They are expensive, but if you go the used route instead of the latest and greatest you can save quite a bit. I run 2021 T4's and have learned so much from the guys who used to race them and watching Alexander Hagberg's videos.
