It looks like I have been WAY OFF on gearing my USGT. I have been geared too conservatively..

It will be non belted on asphalt. You have to buy the event tires for this race. So practice with non belted.

practice with what you will run with. Don’t go get belted tires when the event will be run on non belted. Besides……belted seems to only be used on carpet. They were way slower on asphalt when I tested them.

Would a Tamiya 1997 Mercedes CLK-GTR body be okay to race in USGT? It isn't on the outdated? (as of 07-20-2017) body list I found on U.S. Vintage Trans-Am R/C Racing Series Here is the Tamiya #47437 kit that the body came in...

https://www.towerhobbies.com/product...hoCOvQQAvD_BwE

I see several other body manufacturers that have have a CLK listed in the rules, so I would assume that the Tamiya body should be okay? The only thing that I can think that might be an issue is that it has ABS molded wing/rear spoiler (not lexan).

The date on that document is misleading ... bodies have been added since then .... as a result I'd call the body portion reliable.

Yes, run it! We need more scale accurate bodies to be run again.

This is a HPI Honda S2000 on a Tamiya TT-02S chassis. I need to get some of the new tires, but for club racing I am just going to run what I've got tomorrow. Just trying to help build this class locally.

I am about to use up my old usgt tires. Got a set of the new one with 6 stoke wheels. They are hitting my lower arms on my Xray T4. Use spacer or dremel the wheels?

I run slightly wider hexes and don't have any issues with rubbing.

Saw a post a couple weeks ago with a pic of a 3d printed device for cutting wheel wells on the car. Can't seem to find it and search isn't coming up with anything. I'm not even sure what thread it was in. Has anybody else seen this post and if so can you post the link.

Default Montech Divo

Anyone try the Divo on indoor carpet (black carpet)? How does it compare to the J1z which seems to be the gold standard at our track?
