Rob, is it for Santee? Try gearing up a half point and maybe keep going up. Topher may have a better answer for you tho...

2.9fdr to 3.10 fdr on 100ft straight tracks, depending on infield smoothness....

Prefect. Thanks. I searched the thread and couldn't find much info. I know gearing is subjective but ballpark helps. I'm new to 21.5
Yes Ray, for Santee. Will you make it down?

I am currently in 2 builds, might be a little bit before I can. I will be in 17.5 soon.

When can we expect to see the new rims/tyres?

They are already out and what is available on his site. They are the 6 spoke rims.

Yes, the last 4 sets of USGT tires I've bought have been the new 6 spoke rims. However, even though the new belted tires showed up at a national race recently they are not available to the public. I'm guessing Paul wants to use up his supply of non belted tires first to keep the hobby shops from having to eat a bunch of inventory.

Will the non belted tires be completely phased out?

I could be wrong, but as I understand it there were supply chain issues and Paul couldn't get enough of the regular tires for the event.

What's the website? There's a lot going on here so it's hard to keep up.

Went with the gearing advice I was given this past weekend. Started at 3.8, went down to 3.4. Temps were fine considering ambient was high 80's. Track temp around 120*ish. Couldn't get out of everyone's way fast enough! It wasn't horrible in the infield, but down the straight, which was shortened to about 50-60', it was laughable. Guess I could've gone lower on the fdr, but didn't seem worth the time to swap out the spur, as the pinion I used was large as I could go.
Am I missing something, or is that about all I'm gonna get out of the Spec motor?
On a positive note, the new chassis was fantastic!

Rob, I could a told you it's weak and only good against other spec motors. I have a Motiv MC4 21.5 Dyno tuned if you want to try it out.

Haha! Thats what I figured. No worries. the motor came with the car I got, so no great loss.
I appreciate the offer Ray. I have a new TCR 21.5 coming...
