Thanks man! The track is getting better every week with still lots more to do. We are doing Expert and Sportsman USGT April 3rd. Going to be super fun.

Please show the noob here mercy.

I know nothing about on-road or Tc cars as I've only raced carpet-buggy. Looking to buy a cheap TC chassis for leisurely sunday driving at a local asphalt track. No ambitions for competitive racing. Been eyeing the hobbyking blaze r2 for a cheap go at on-road. But the standard sedan bodies for touring racing I just can't live with, and figured I'd get myself a gt-body right from the get go:

https://www.monacorc.com/en/gt-110/4...d-new-man.html
This one looks nice and not like a weird family car.

However, and the question: What about front shock towers? Looks like no space for those. Are there specific Tc cars that will fit these gt bodies? I realize the tamiya plastic tub cars with laid down shocks could be an alternative but the wrenching required to get a diff out in those seems to be a bummer.

Hi
I think the bodies will fit the Blaze R2..your best bet is to Email or call the hobby store ..must cheaper return item.

The body is a Mon-Tech RS GT3 190mm GT Body. It will fit under any standard 190mm touring car.

For what it's worth, the 3racing Advance S 6/4 is designed for outdoor on-road racing. They come pretty well setup from factory with tons of outdoor success and are typically around $100 USD.

A800FX/Montech 308 with 'optional' tires qualified 5th at last weeks club race...

Will be trying something a bit different next time out.

Took the BWOAH out for first time today.

First, this body is sexy as all get out! Looks amazing on track.

https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...602a9a911.jpeg

Secondly I ran it back to back with P1Z

The P1Z is tried and true and an amazing body. The BWOAH is a little more aggressive on entry yet still stable like the P1Z. I've found that you can't drive most other USGT bodies as hard as the P1Z. The BWOAH is just as good if not better.

I hit the exact same hot lap. So both are great but the BWOAH might be my go to!

Lastly, if you have an Awesomatix MMXA, then you will HAVE to run the HRB. It's slammed and I moved the body probably 2-3mm forward. By doing so, the rear body posts hit right where the spoiler mounts are.

https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...8cda1294a.jpeg

ZooRacing knew this and there are lines on the bumper to help line up your holes. (See pic below).

I also believe that even at a neutral mounting position you will still need the HRB.

I did the best I could and I measured the middle of the body hole to top of the spoiler mount at 27.3ish. I probably would raise it to 28 or 28.3 next time as I had to trim the sides and front lip to keep from dragging.

https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...ef856e133.jpeg

I also measured the front hole to some sort of reference point and found the front windshield corner was best. I measured that at 89.3

https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...9ad7e9541.jpeg

I think I'm pretty close on where the best measurements will be on the body, but might want to try and try mounting it neutral to see how that goes, but I always move my bodies ever so slightly forward, hence why I mounted it the way I did.

Here are wheel cut out pics to show what it looks like up close to the mold lines

https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...1d3d41b46.jpeg

Hope this helps! The BWOAH is legit!

Fortunately our track allows me to run the "once USGT legal" McAllister C7 Daytona body. I love the body!

Worth lot's.
Shorter dampers than the blaze, more modern layout and roughly the same prize. Reading up on what must have spares I will need and will be ordering both those and a kit. Thanks Beave.

Hey Scott.....The Vette looks great....very clean racey look. Funny how that seemed radical at one time, but not compared to what's legal now. At least it was a true representation of an actual race car.

Get the plastic arms, I think they're part numbers U101/U102, they'll never break. Possibly a spare top deck. Not sure what else breaks on these cars. I've been running mine for a couple months now and hit quite a bit of stuff. Haven't broke anything other than what I listed above.

Do you mean those soft GQ tires?

That's because it was done by a true and talented sculpture!
