How is everyone complaining about having to add wieght. I'm at 1414 with no mods and just an alluminum chassis in a t4 with a 7600 pack if I put a lipo factory battery in I have to add 14 grams of lead on the battery side

Your Xray is a fatty

I don't mind the 1380 weight at all. I have to add 20-25 grams to meet weight with a normal 270-280 gram pack and meet the 1380 with no brass with my bigger 6000-7000mah packs

Yeah, but if you raise the weight, then all the guys who bought $900 Awesomatix and $700 X-Ray cars (totally not the spirit of the class) will bitch. What's the point of a super light chassis if they have to add so much weight? They can't run 17.5 lap times. More weight might discourage the 17.5 guys from running the lower class and whoop on everyone...... who would want THAT to happen?

I agree, but I support the USVTA, and we all should as well...which brings me to this... What are you doing in Sept?

Our club has stayed with the 1450g weight, and I believe it's worked out great for us.
I was able to take 2nd at our outdoor season opener this weekend with a TC4. Definitely wouldn't have been able to had the weight been dropped to 1380. As it is, I'm in a sea of Awesomatix's and X-Rays....
