This is from the usgt rules,

"Motor Specifications:
21.5 ROAR Approved No tuning rotors, must use OEM rotor"

So I'd say the rules say no on changing rotors.

Given that some OEMs give the option to pick which rotor comes with the motor, I think OEM tuning rotors are usually allowed. In other words, you can't mix brands.

What i was talking about is mainly the 12.3 rotor in a monster 21.5 to a torque 12.5 rotor same company

think about it like this...you can buy A motor (say Tsr)..With 3 different rotor options ..who to say what rotor came in the motor when you have a choice to buy the motor with any rotor you want.....or you can just buy all three motors with different rotors

I guess the 12.5 rotor is allowed then.....

for the USVTA Southern Nationals, I allowed any rotor 12.5 or under just for this reason....Its open and most are not honest and why fight it....they could always say it came with it....so this portion of the rule will have to be looked at...but if you go to the roar site, it tells you what rotor is legal....

It says that the 12.5 tourqoise rotor is on the list i changed it out from the black 1 and liked it better and ended up selling the motor i put the black 1 into and forgot it was there and when i saw the rules i started kicking myself in the ass for it

USGT is not a ROAR class so there are no ROAR rules for USGT...only the USVTA has rules for USGT. If your going by the USVTA rules for USGT then its a 10mm wing height so on the Caddy you would need to cut it at the lower trim line on the wing. For using the "Small Black things" you can use any wing mount you would like and it can be any height but the actual lexan wing can not be more than 10mm.

The easiest way to measure this is with a ride height gauge or droop block....most onroad ride height gauges end at 10mm so you lay it on the top of the flat part on the wing and see where your angle back part of the wing comes up and if its higher than your ride height gauge then it needs to come down to 10mm.

Thank you very much and I see what your talking about on the wing. I know we have to run a spec tire for usgt so wanted to make sure its right

Wow we had this discussion before wrt to my Kill Shot motors...IMO as long as the rotor is ROAR legal and the rotor is of the same OEM as the stator and the rotor is not outlawed by any other provisions (e.g., 12.3mm max for 25.5 motor) you can swap rotors. Why? because there is no way to enforce the rule when an OEM sells motors with the "tuning rotors" installed and those motors are legal (Trinity's Maxilla versions come with the 12.5 "tuning" rotor). However there are certain rotors that are only approved for 25.5 motors. For example Trinity has two ROAR approve 12.3mm rotors one for all Trinity motors except the ROAR approved 24K 25.5 motor. The other 12.3mm rotor can be used in the ROAR approved 25.5 motor - not sure if it is limited to just that Trinity motor or if it could be used in any Trinity motor (D4 and other 24Ks etc.).

That's nice...but it doesn't answer his question.
