We're working to re-establish on-road racing at The Hobby Connection/Easley Racing Complex in Easley, SC. We've got 10 or so regulars in USVTA and are working to build the USGT class. Low traction asphalt is a whole different animal than the steal-your-shoes traction at Thunder R/C. :-)

If you get Easley up and going let me know. I miss racing out there, but not the drive. hehe

I'll be happy to run my favorite body again. Competing for DFL but looking good doing it.

the whole point is I honestly can not understand anybody complaining about a R/C class with this many choices in bodies....really....It blows my mind that several companies with different prices and different designs and different styles that all have bodies on the list...and you cant find one legal body you like?....that's pretty stupid to me.....its not a fact that the list is perfect?...but it is a list that as loyal USGT racers should follow....example...I like the 200mm Ford GT body by PF, but its not legal...even with me making it work on my TC7....so do I get on the forum and complain?...no I find another body I like and run it...see simple
guys if you really have a legit issue with the USGT, or USVTA....send a pm,email, or call...but don't come here....cause we have all heard it and if a change is going to come, it will because common sense came into play. Lets work to constantly build the class by getting more racers to the track, not complaining about a body

So about the Ford GT, I know it was a 200mm one, but I am curious as to how it handled for you. I've been sticking with Tamiya's bodies, but I SERIOUSLY want to try the Ford GT when the 190mm version comes out. How did it feel on your car? Good balance of downforce? More steering? Stability? Just wondering, to get some idea of what to expect when the time comes...

It was designed for WGT-R, 200mm pan cars, yes, but with F1 style rubber tires, not the super wide WGT/Pro10 foam tires. I race the UK variant of WGT with foam tire, the rubber tires feel like it's on ice in comparison, so it shouldn't be that far from touring car tires...

I blame the USGT guys because most clubs will stick with their rules since that is what you will have to use if you go to a big race. They should have never listed the DP bodies to begin with for GT racing. That was their big mistake. And now they are allowing bodies like the Mazda Furai concept car, that's just stupid.
In the past we have listened to complaints, and all it gets us is more complaints.
