The ones good enough for outdoor asphalt... i believe the website recommends the hard compound with the medium insert.

From what i understand though, there are different part numbers for black and white spoked rims...

Solaris Pre-Mounted Touring Tire Set - HGM (Hard/Med Insert) - WHITE Wheel Spoked, Part # -- SOL S-TSHGM4W
Solaris Pre-Mounted Touring Tire Set - HGM (Hard/Med Insert) - BLACK Wheel Spoked, Part # -- SOL S-TSHGM4B
I haven't looked online and mostly buy them from our local track/hobby store. The last time I was there a week ago they had the hard compound in stock. Maybe give them a call and see if they'll ship. It's pretty much all they stock since it is almost outdoor season here in the Chicagoland area..

Ran my first usgt race last night. Man what a blast. I had so much fun I didn't know what to do. Plus I left the f1 parked so I could concentrate on one class.
Ran on Solaris mediums and the old vta set up was crap. Had absolutely no rear end grip. Stiffened the front springs, thicker front shock oil, adjusted front and rear droop, and actually ran stiffer rear springs with the thinner vta shock oil. Don't ask why but the stiffer rear springs actually helped rear traction. I first tried softer springs and it got worse.
For the sake of experimentation I ran the Corvette body without a wing and got a base line to compare to. I then added the wing and it made a HUGE difference. Even at slow corner speeds. It is definitely a necessity.
