Ditto. I'm not good enough either.
Always cracks me up when the Race Director says "slower guys pull over and let the fast guys pass you." I'm thinking...If I was good enough to just "pull over" without taking myself out, I'd be winning some races!

The faster drivers usually thank me when I let them by without wiping us both out. That being said, I'll try and hold them off as long as I can before letting them pass some times, it's good practice for when it might actually make the difference between finishing in first or not. lol

Since we are discussing possible changes to USGT, I'm thinking about a new chassis/ride height set up concept...

Most of these points are moot given the liberties taken with realism compared to full scale vehicles. I can't think of too many four wheel drive Camaros or Corvettes in full scale either. Either accept it and get over it or do something else. We all get it, you don't like pit stops.

Fortunately GT8 is picking back up with popularity in my area and the rules couldn't be any more simple than the car must be 1/8 and have a GT body on it, now how hard can that be?

On a side note last time we did a vta enduro. We had an actual pit lane so the 3 car teams could "pit" and change cars out of the race line. The lane was only 2 foot wide and yes some times it got congested but that's just like real racing. Now granted it was a 1500 lap race that took 4.5 hours.

The problem is that things used to be much more simple, and now rules keep changing to make it overly complicated. I think it would be more beneficial to voice my concerns so people are aware of issues, than to simply leave the class without explanation.

Here is an idea for tracks/events that want to have pit stops during a race that isn't required.
Make the pit lane that quickly narrows down to 2 ft wide. Have the pit stop be just a drive through. To stop people from just flying through it, make it have 2 180* turns to form a 10-15 ft wide "S". Then the drivers have to slow down and drive through the "S" and then back on the track. It would be like a drive through penalty that a lot of full scale racing has. They have a speed limit to control time/safety. It would be too hard/costly to have that but a hard to negotiate "S" would make the drivers go slow and it would take a little time. If you crash trying to go to fast it will just slow you down even more. This way there would be no limit to how many cars can be in at a time. There would be no people questioning the amount of time the pit marshal held the car, no people getting hit by another car, ect.
