Greg hasn't posted an entry fee amount - but remember, the entry fee will cover the price of the chassis, bearings, motor and then fees for trophies and whatnot...so it won't be in the ballpark of a 'normal' club race or 'big' race (ie, under $100/team)
Do we have to run lipo? I know its leaps and bounds better than Nimh but pricey, and i know nothing about them. I know my current charger can charge lipos. And price I assume you meant it's not going to be under $100/team, right? Probably more in the range of $300? And I totally forgot about marshalling, yea I need to find a few more competent teammates. Can 1 driver race the whole event, or are we required to switch it up?

Sorry this is bringing out the little kid in me, and I'm asking a lot of little questions.

Great to see your enthusiasm! All the details will be posted along with the registration form and race flyer as soon as the graphics are done, but to answer those questions; any ROAR legal battery (NiCD, NiMH, Lipo, etc), and no single driver may drive more than double the time of any other driver on that team.

Do I sense a team of TOP level drivers trying to beat everyone else to the TOP of the podium?

i've been accused of being somewhat crazy. but to even think of tryin to solo or even duo is just that.

even if they did let u slide on having ur significant other of ur kid marshall and man (or lady) the chargers for u. still mad i say.

honestly for this event. i dont really care if my team gets ripped by some hotshoes. in terms of 24hrs, i just wanna see the car (and our drivers) make it.

Exactly. I'm not hellbent on winning, nor do I expect to. This is just gonna be tons of fun and awesome to be a part of. I've only driven a touring car for 3-4 packs worth, so I imagine there will be quite a learning curve.

Dammit Greg take my $ already will ya. Dibs on a M3 perhaps LOL. Settle on a gear ratio? Still lotta back n 4th over 'to build or not to build on the clock'...that is the question. Would love to see the sheets before you release them to public.

Also have been accepting the fact that i'll have to have the pipes plenty warm to flap my jaws for several hours on the mic. Do my best to keep folks entertained like i usually do.

PS- Would like to touch base with you bout gettin event sponsors, media releases and other exposure, giveaways/prizes, and perhaps some LiveRCish type coverage.

Just reading this thread for the first time. All I can say is, NICE! If Jackson is doing a 24 hr race, I'm coming. Time to start making phone calls, and texts to the Backbreaker crew!

Default The US has one of these 24 hour deals

Unreal cool event. Your teams can still register! Have a blast with your friends and get more track tim than you ever have. Lights, pitstops, and lots of bench racing. Here is the thread.

"3rd-annual-24-heures-du-jackson" down in the racing forum.
