pretty cool. I have a tt-01 and the thing is built like a tank. I have slammed into a curb while turning going about 45mph and even left a massive scrap on the curb, still kept running.

It is more of a basher car.

You know how Germans talk forever but don't really say much once translated into English, well that guy took 13 minutes to say, "American's suck at r/c racing. Here's how we do it. And we have girls racing with us." That's it, that's all he said. The girl said, "I could drive circles around Paulie."

True, These cars are like thanks. Last weekend I've driven the 24Hrs with the Team (Racing for Holland) and there where no serious broken parts. Only smoked Elecs...

It's a wonderfull, but really hard race!

Look true some pics:

We drove Sorex 32's with Xenon Rims but there was a bit of a air gap between the tire and the insert. We had 5 set's of tires in total. But after 11 ours only 1,5 set was worn at our team... So I think, 3 maybe 4 set's was enough. But some teams had a heavyer wear. It depends a bit on driving and the glue (rimm and tire) that's broken.

Elec's dit smoke of the damp/rain, as far as I know. One transmitter module died... not really sure how....

We had a total of 2 motor's (Carson Cup's NOT the Johnson, but it's almost the same motor). We've changed the motor (in the morning) after 19 hours of driving. We did change is because of the "power" it had lost. The motor lost acceleration but kept top speed, but this could also be the speedo...?? So too secure our third spot we've changed the motor. They held up great, but there was not so much rain as the other years....

Best Regards

Robert

One of the greatest things ive seen on here. the cars even look like the have driven 24hrs. Were the bodies handed out in adavnce to prep them for race day ? would love to see something like this in the states i would travel to something like this. Thanks for sharing.

I recall reading about one of these endurance deals a while back where the time included building, and even painting the car.

Everybody started out with the same raw kit and went at it, all on the clock.

If I remember correctly it was only a measly 8 hour enduro, sort of a sprint race compared to this I guess. And I think one of the last teams to get on track ended up winning! Way cool.

whast measly bout 8hrs even. some of these events have been 24hrs. but the 'build a kit' on the clock deal is very neat in its own right too.

"GOGOGO make laps til the oil shocks are built!" lol

Yes it was in Hungary, I was one of the participants. We run 12 hour enduro's here, last year and this year.

Exactly the same, TTs, no mods, stock carson cup 540 motor. Lipos and electics free. All cars must run lights.

Last year it was indoors (winter) on carpet and the race time included building and painting at the track at the start of the clock. That was ALOT of fun. Lights over the track turned off / dimmed at 7pm iirc. Race was 10am - 10pm.

This year it is a series and is outdoor, and car building is not included.
I found last years set up more enjoyable, delegating team members to roles for painting, chassis, electrics, shock, building etc was alot of fun.

This time that element is missing and racing in scorching heat was alot less fun. Personally I enjoy alot more if it rains and is overcast/windy.

The TTs hold up extremely well. As mentioned above the stock 540 motors last no problem. The chassis actually starts to melt under the motor before the motor gives any probs. They do collect alot of dirt tho.

The hardest thing is actually collecting enough lipos and co-ordinating charging.

Actully, there was a 24hr indoors in Hungary about 3 years ago too.
