What shims are being used to stop the spec r gear diff from moving side to side in the Xray T2 08 & 09? Part # please.

I think it is SPR010-SH2 for the 0.2mm shim. For smaller adjustment I use kyosho shims. Sorry don't have the pn for that but one pack cames in 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3mm. Don't use the spec r 0.1 shims as it will bend or snap into 2 pieces under load..... but you must use atleast one large shim (like spr010-sh2) beside the o-ring. As smaller shim (like the kyosho one) will dig into the o-ring.

Does any body no if there has been a problem with the moulding of the tcx gear diff, have noticed with mine when fitted it changes the belt tightness, when rotated by hand....

Mine is OK without any problem. Check your eccentric bearing holder, maybe its set not equal.

Mine has a tight spot as well, very slight bind but it is there
bearing holders are set equal.

You just need polish it and check it until the bind is gone. It took me 1/2 hour to get it right.

Polish what exactly, the teeth?.... they do not mean how smooth it rotates, they mean the pully is slightly uneven, so when you turn the wheels by hand, the rear belt tension changes slightly at a certain spot, there is no cure to it, just bad moulding.

The bind is not in the diff, that is smooooooth!!!!

The bind is because the actual moulding cannot be totally round as the BELT TIGHTENS as you turn the diff then the BELT frees off.

Not the teeth behind the gear has to be really smooth
