They might work somewhere, but not on the track I race at.(outdoor asphalt, tight, smooth)Kit tires are for play,if you race just buy your fav. tire/insert/rim combo and be done with it.

I haven't stumbled across a set up sheet that you can type on as of yet. There is one in the works right now. If you see a post from Bigdog on here click on to one of his links (I think it's MSR racing) or something to that effect. They are working on a new set up sheet for the graphite plus.

These are the tire's that I throw in when I sell one of my kits.

Editable setup sheet......What I do for my own use is take the setup sheets off of the Losi page in the JPG format and save them to my desk top and then save them as a BMP then you can open them in MS paint and edit all you want.....its hard to print them from paint but you can keep track of your setups on your PC.

Merry Christams everyone

I contacted HD about when the kit will hopefully be here, approx mid next month. It could arrive before(yay) or after the nats(Boo)
I can't afford to go anyway so it's a moot point anyhoo
Merry Xmas Mike, have a good one

XXXKat,
Reason I asked was that the original XXXS had some dodgy, cheap looking treaded tyres in the kit. The promos for the G+ showed a slick(I was hoping a Yellow compound slick and med insert )and it would be cool if I could just glue them up and race stock at my local track for club stuff(Cheap option).
I'll be running foam in mod, on asphalt otherwise so it's no real biggie.

Default Setup suggestions for carpet?

I seem to have the car as good as its going to get. Fixed the diffs, I had to take another screw and work the threads. I still don't have much clearance from the tire to the shock spring, but I'll try it anyway.

Need a setup for a tight, ozite carpet track. I'm running foams and a oneway.

What should I use for front/rear blocks, caster, springs, shock oil, etc, etc?

I don't run foams, But I've found the setups on the Losi website to be a good starting point.

Merry Christmas

Run 0 squat front and rear
Purple rear tires
Plaid fronts
Black front springs 80 wt oil
purple rear springs 70 wt oil
roll bar front and rear- 1st bar
caster -1
ride height 5 mm front
4mm rear

u will have to play with some other things such as roll centers but this will get u going fairly fast.

The track was tough, but I really liked the layout better than that one where on the first and last turns you have that one barrier sticking out where you can break stuff. The new shock tower really did the trick. The car can now turn very easily.

I will definitely look into sway bars and see if my local hobby shop can get me a set for the front and rear. There is someone at our track who uses them on his XXX-S and they seem to help his car alot.

Kulasracing, do you know when the new track will be up and running for this sunday? I want to see if I can get in a practice some.

Default Losi and Associated CVD's

hey guys and hey Todd,

I am wondering if theres any reason why you cannot run Associated TC3 CVD Bones in the rear of the Losi?? My Losi parts are on order, but they wont arrive in time for this Sundays racing. Please help!!! I have lots of Associated axles!!
Our LHS's are sadly deficient on XXXS parts.

Thanks,
Ray

Ray- The bones are pretty much the same length, but the ends are WAY too small for the outdrives.

Wheel Chatter

Yeah, yeah, I've know I've seen this come up on this thread before but I REALLY don't want to go through them all for one question.

Our track just doubled in size and normally being a mod guy I finally get to put the crappy stockers back in their coffin and install some power to my new favorite Losi.

Holy @#$% does this make a world of difference! Touring Cars have finally become race cars instead of "an R/C novelty for the winter" in my world. This car is sick fast and major fun on our ozite track now except do to all of the new found speed, I've notice a terrible wheel chatter when left underpower. Again, what was the fix for this? A couple of other guys at the track have noticed this too. Thanks for the help.
