Computer problems???? I don't recall jarrod making any comments about computer problems. I believe he jumped into help STAFF the computers but I don't recall seeing anything about computer problems. Did I miss something? or is this another attempt by another software vendor to identify a non-existant problem.

Seems to me everything has been running quite well!

Jarrod is once again running the computer as it would seem.

I have been on the phone with my guys at the track and some of the stuff they are saying is, to me, downright disturbing.

They say that the IFMAR officials are unwilling to let them even LOOK a listing of the results, much less get any of the stuff on a disk or any postable format.

That's just ludicrous.

I'm already down on IFMAR after the whole mess leading up to the Worlds, but this takes the cake. How can this organization claim to be moving the sport forward when they are hindering its exposure to a worldwide audience? Pathetic!

Hey Shane, this is why we all have troubles getting our informations, and why I am giving the results i manage to get with questions marks...

I totally back you up on that one, this is totally ridiculous, it's not like it will change anything to the race that people knows what happens (I'm not even talking about people on the net, but the drivers who are racing should have the right to know where they are in the rankings !).

You mean the drivers don't even know what the standings are?
That's wrong!
You have the best drivers in the world, top teams, manufactures, and some IFMAR officials all assembled in one place. Maybe everyone (meaning all the drivers and companies at the track) should make a stand right now. When would there be a better opportunity then everyone face to face? Much better than email, he said, she said, etc.
I know it's all volunteer driven, but they volunteer so racers can race. Let the racers be heard.

I have been in the booth with Scotty for about 200 events over the past 3 years, and he runs the PC. But Jarrod mentioned he was starting the PC's yesterday. Jarrod was on the track shooting pics for 1/12th scale, but yesterday he was shooting from the booth, so it appears something changed. I never said it was a software problem. One time in Cleveland they had a huge problem and the problem was AOL instant messenger.

Somebody told me that the team managers for each team were receiving copies of the results, but I can't confirm that.

The quote I got was "We will not provide any form of results to media outlets until the race is over."
