My question is WHERE THE HECK IN THE WORLD ARE SUBARU LEGACIES RACING!!!??? I know that the Subaru Impreza WRX is racing in the world rally series (and Petter Solberg did quite well over the weekend I might add) but I was not aware that the Subaru Legacy was raced anywhere

Translation: mood lightened.

Now here's a suggestion. Let's drop this discussion until after the Worlds and start focussing on the fun part for a while. We are going to what is bound to be a great event where we will have a real good time. I think it's high time we started focussing on the enjoyable aspects again!

I would like to ask, if possible, from the organization, to create an official document which confirms that for example, Mr. ............. is attending the 2004 R/C world championships in Orlando Florida from October 24 to October 31.

In this respect one might have less trouble trying to explain to airport authorities that tools he/she may carry are not to be used for any bad actions...

I already have to buy motorcleaner, tire additive, CA glue, Butane Gas (for soldering iron) and a number of other things because they are not allowed in the plane. It would be helpfull if we could eliminate to the minimum situations where racers are forced to undergo investigation as if they are a threat to the rest of the passengers...

I´m not sure its over yet...
Perhaps the most strange thing is the "voting" regarding the bodies and Sanyo 3600.
According to IFMAR´s rules, they all pass and there should therefor never been any vote at all. Where came that idea from?
I can fully understand the frustration from these companies ( Parma, Proline/Protoform and Sanyo ) as this is very important for there chance of promoting there products. There are plenty of people who make there daily work there and they should be treaten fair and honest.

Bodies are not a big deal. You have your favorite but if you cant run it you move on.

Batteries are a different deal entirely. Everyone is running, matching and selling GP3300's now. The decision that you could not run Sanyos was made so long ago that most manufacturers have not bought or matched ANY Sanyo cells. It is too late. The Sanyo's should not be made legal as no one other than those already selling RC3600's will have the time to buy match and have packs ready to run at the worlds.

Sanyos not being legal is a huge mistake for the R/C industry as a whole. Sanyo supported the industry for over 20 years and this is how they are repaid?

Rick - I agree but what is done is done. The batteries are a big deal. I know Oscar has racks of RC3600's ready to go right next to racks of GP3300's so Peak/Orion is in an ideal position no matter what the decision.

I have a feeling that with all this last minute attention the Sanyos coming to the Worlds will not be the crappy lumps we tested 6 months ago. I bet they are a special run of cells that will blow away the GP's because Sanyo wants to prove a point.

But...what about Reedy, SMC/Fantom, Trinity, Fusion, Pole Position, Pro-Match, etc? They took IFMAR's ruling and concentrated on what would be legal....the GP cell.

At this point we cant allow the RC3600's. Once again at this point what is done is done.

This could be the new official Florida license plate (approved by IFMAR)!

No, I do not think the car in the pics is Legacy or Legacy B4. If you carefully inspect the headlight, it is the headlight of Impreza. The lower inner corner (the corner near the grill) is round for Impreza while it is acute for Legacy.

In addition, to the best of my knowledge, I do not notice any established PRO racing team is using Legacy for track.

That's not B4 Legacy, it's an Impreza. Beides wrong front head lights, wrong TAIL lights!! Also add wrong roof line, and wrong doors.... list goes on.

That's a picture of Cusco Subaru Advan Impreza.

There's no Legacy anywhere in JGTC, which is their professional 'GT' racing organization.
