Hey,
Im pretty sure that would be a .20 side spring. Lately the hot setup are the .18's though.

In your opinion would the .18 have the proper stiffness to transition on the crc? Thanks for the info!!

They should but its just something you have to try. The cars are similar but different so no way to know other than trying them.

Donny- What are your current setups for World GT 13.5 and 12th scale 17.5 on a tight, high grip track?

Thanks,
James

Damn i was building my car and saw you post and thought i was an idiot because i put them in the gap on the rod end.. Now i know they were in the right place. I read the manual like 10 times and didnt see any mention of them. Being that FJ built like 50 of these i believed what he said.

Hey James
I posted a setup a few pages back. I'd run the same thing in the WGT car with maybe a lil less camber up front, no pod droop and 4mm ride height all around. That would be a good starting point. Might need .20 side springs too but would have to try it first and see. Haven't run the car since Vegas had .20's in it there. Hope this helps.

-Donny

edit: heres that setup so you don't have to dig. other thing I forgot. super small front tires on wgt car, almost on the rim. also dont be afraid to try .22 front springs on both cars.

Front:
-1.5 Camber, 3 Caster
3.5mm Ride Height
Green spooge on kingpins
.20 Springs
Magenta front tires, 1.59 glued 90% up sidewall
Front tires shimmed out .060" both sides

Center:
35 wt Oil in Shock
1.5mm pod droop
Copper spring
Battery Forward
3.5mm Ride Height

Rear:
Green Spooge in Tubes
.18 Speedmerchant Linear Side Springs <--DIALED
Side Springs just touching
Max width
Pink Rear tires, 1.69 glued only at rim
4mm ride height at rear of pod, 3.5mm at front

Default question about front end kits

do the new edition SM front end conversion kits for the other manufacturer's cars use the older graphite cross piece with pressed in teflon Orings? Or do they now come with the new grapite crossbar that has the retainer rings to hold the Orings in place?

What would you change for low to medium grip. Our track doesn't get used a lot so it's very green.

we have the option to, but the cars always seem to work great box stock middle/middle and it's what we always work back to.
