For instance ther was a BIG "blurr" under the steel motor mount. The guy works as a watchmaker so for him that's no biggie but still , that was a bit disapointing. I am in the process of writing a short review of the build with the pics he took while building, so check www.overrc.com regularly ! it should be ready at the end of the week. The whole site is in French but it's quite easy to translate.
It amazes me to see the nit-picky ones cry about burrs or oh the chassis or this piece wasn't perfect. Josh is a one man show with a few that volunteer to lend a hand if that. Hey doesn't have a enormous manufacturing plant in his backyard with 1000 employees. So give the man a break .

Also the holes are slightly different then the stock ones, and the inner ( longest ) position is longer then the option TOP camber plates, so really a tuning option on all photon based cars.

Tested the CEFX Evo and i must say it's amazing. Been always searching for grip for our close tires Solaris at our local races now i found it. Believe it or not Solaris is performing like Sorex tires now. Brought down 1sec per lap consistantly. COooollll.

I hope to see him tomorrow. It always interests me to see what the fastest guys are running, what their setup is and what equipment they are running. I love the spec tire thing, I really think that levels the field (No Plugged Bats...lol).
I wonder if anyone else is running an EVO out there.

Jackson R/C 17.5 A-Main
Qual 3rd
Fin 7th

Failed with some help The car was strong in the main. Probably needed to free up the car a bit. More concerned about the bite changing for the main as we rolled into the night just after the nitro heat ran for 20 min. Wasnt sure what type of a track we were going to have so I softened up the car.

I was happy for week 2 with the Evo. Better results soon. Post setup info later.

I wasn't trying to insult anyone. More than half a millimeter on a machined part has nothing to do with the size of the company. I am just informing. That implies giving facts. Sorry. And this thread is the place to give facts about this car, other than "wow I love the car in the picture, it rocks!" etc.

I think M. Cyrul is delighted to hear the opinion of people who actually saw the build in person, just like any other customer. The car is very, very cleverly designed, I am just stating that on that one kit, there was small defects on manufacturing. This is a high end TC or what? The manufacturing is expected to match the performance, IMO. So while it is NOT a big obstacle to the assembly, especially considering this car is aimed at skilled racers, it has to be mentionned to give objective information. Period . Just sit back, relax and let M. Cyrul handle this if he wants to.

Back on topic, my friend entered his first race with the car and I think he's happy with it. He just tried to get a feeling before changing too many things.

The 2 screws that hold the graphite part holding the spur gear assembly both got loose and caused him to ruin a spur gear. I think since they screw in steel they deserved a dab of threadlock and a generous tightening. Since that he didn't have any other problem.

I tried the car at the end of the day and liked it. I did not fell in love with it like I did when I tried his previous car (xray) but the feeling was good and it took me just a few laps to be able to drive it clean.
