This is not a question that really has a definitive answer. I don't believe anyone has ever done any comprehensive scientific stress tests or even simple crash tests on all of the various models.

I've only been in this hobby a short time, but already I've witnessed some huge crashes by all sort of brands and models and they come away with barely a scratch and see the same model takes a tiny hit another time and they break something.

Buy what you can get parts for locally. This will often correlate with the most popular cars at your local track so you get support too. If you still have multiple options, pick the color of anodizing you like best

Are you saying you heard HB is going out of business or the company that makes the parts for them is going out of business?

If that's the case, HPI/HB are not the only ones affected by this. If the rumors are even true.

Very much agree with you on that one San. It would be a great shame if they were true, im not sure and hence was seeing if anyone else had heard anything about it all and a bit of a set back for Hotbodies couse the TCX's ive seen in action so far look great. I tried an old cyclone out the other week and although not fully set up or even full carbon it felt like a really planted car and easy to drive.

Korey/Hiro,
Do you know anything about the shortage of parts? It's getting worst day by day.

46mm shafts, belts, chassis and axles. Amain is out and they're not the only ones.

Was told Sakura shafts will fit, but they don't. Anyone want to buy (3) sets?
