Big Dog Racing!

Thanks very much!

I've used the captured ball ends, thinking it would not be replaced that often, I was wrong, after time they slop mre than the regular adjusters.

If there were only ball ends/ball studs/ball cups/caps that are as big as the Yokomos/AE's that have Metric threads! There will be little maintenance! And also so I could use RPM's ball cups!!!

Calling RPM!!!! make some that would fit Tamiya's 5mm ball studs!

Peace and Happy Racing!

Ditto.... running the 9x2 Fantom motor OK, but the only weak bit is the propshaft cups. The ones I made out of delrin diff outdrives made it through a whole meeting today.

The standard Squat 950 bearings (set of 8) are better than the originals.

Replace those nasty cheap tam steel turnbuckles immediately.... naughty boy!!!

And so, after my little spout of replies...

Does anyone have any thoughts as to a good/perfect setup for the Evo4 running modified outdoors on a slightly bumpy tarmac track at about 25-28 degrees?

Jumped straight into it and a bit green, so would appreciate a bit of help.

Valuable advice today... run slightly harder springs in the front. Seemed to do something of a trick, but not quite sure what, and neither is my driver son.:D

Looking for some of the Surikarn LTD red hop up parts from the EVO 3. Where can I find the part numbers and where is a good online place to buy them?

hierog 09-12-2004 07:33 PM

red hop up parts

If you're looking for Tamiiya Hop Up parts, I believe the only ones they make are the red damper sets. You can't even buy replacement red parts for your Surikarn. Square makes a bunch, so you can check out their website or look on Rainbow Ten

So what you are saying is I can't buy the red hubs and the clip on motor heat sink? Also just looking for part numbers so I can order them from my LHS. Want to see if I can get the shock mounting hardware to mount Tamiya shocks to my PRP tower on my Losi.

Do you have the web address to those places you are talking about?

F. Alonso 09-12-2004 08:43 PM

Squares Website is http://www.rc-square.com/
Rainbow Ten's website is http://www.rainbowten.co.jp

Unfortunately Squares website is only in japanese, but you can easily see your car's name so click on those and your set.

But the stuff from Rainbow Ten, look at the parts at Square!

Correct.

Same trouble as you, so no advice from you then?

Been carrying a mini-fridge round in my boot for weeks and haven't seen you.

Stock worked OK, but not outstanding, as follows:

40 Wt oil
TC3 purple springs rear
Either Yoko orange or Schumacher blue front
6mm RH
Normal rear setup with 1 deg camber
2 deg toe and 1 deg camber front
SSB control tyres.

As I say, worked for stock, but doesn't want to know for mod.

Swapped the rear springs for tam yellows on advice and it cured rear swapping, but Sorex 28s were useless. Somebody suggested 37s????
