Try RC Champ in Japan, send them an email because you wont be able to read the site info, they will respond quickly, or failing that, try Speedtech, there showing out of stock but again, if you email Steve, he will come back to you quickly.

I had to buy a complete car to get a new lower deck so, if you do find anywhere, please let me know and I'll order a couple of spares.

Good luck

Alright .... Tamiya USA is haveing an Evo IV Blowout sale .... 250 bucks delivered to your door step. I am racing an evo IV now, so if I buy another kit I will be married to that chassis for another year or two!! I will probably need all the spare parts I can get ..... Oh well, I am going for it!!!!

Hello. I would like to know if any one knows if the Tamiya spool for this kit will fit in the TB02. Thanks for your help.

Yes it fits no problems just make sure you shim it for proper gear mesh

There are aftermarket companies that make aluminum diff outdrives but who they are escapes me at the moment.

The aluminim diff from the evo5 may work but you'll need diffrent diff rings. the ones from the TA04. I haven't tried it out yet. But I know my evo4 diff fit in my evo5. I would check this out for you but I sold my evo4.

Here are the parts you would need to build a front diff for the Evo4

50992 Diff Joint Set
51110 Ball Diff Ring Gear
53379 3mm Steel Diff Balls x10 or any other 3mm Diff Balls
9805670 Ball Thrust Bearing
9805671 Diff Spring
53030 850 Ball bearing x2
53563 Diff Plate
49350 Cap Screw & Lock Nut

Hope this helps.

Where did you buy your Evo4Ms from? I wonder if it was the one I just sold.

TechRacing makes aluminum diff housing for Evo IV. They were 2600yen I believe. Good luck finding them...

Thank you for your help. I believe it's this part too, but i'm not sure.

Will yokomo SD diff joints fit on EVO IV?

Thank you again.

Hi infokiz.

I have bought it throught ebay, and it's for spain, don't know if it's yours EVO IV.

infokiz 05-08-2007 07:00 AM

Yep that's my car you bought.

Would anyone be kind enough to measure some things on their Evo, no need to disassemble.

1) From where the input gear goes into each gearbox. E.g. the distance inside from the rear gearbox to the front

2) Distance from the rear gearbox to the start of the mtoor mount

Heres a diagram

I have a pair of aluminum diffs that I spent a fortune on with the outdrives made from some dude in Germany whose name escapes me. The quality is quite nice. IIRC one is brand new and the other I ran a few races and could use new plates and balls if you want them perfect. I'd let them go for a fair price. Feel free to IM me with offers. If I need to take and post pictures the turnaround time will take a bit.

I am curious as to why. Are you trying to verify that you assembled it correctly?
