Try Castle Creations. They have a very high strand count 16ga wire with a very thin silicone jacket. It looks like 18ga but it is 16ga and the strand count is higher than most other 16ga wire available. I bought a 50ft roll for about $15.00!!

I know that GS racing sells 12 and 14 awg wire in rolls of 25 or so ft.

revzalot 03-04-2005 10:43 AM

Crashby I'll buy some off you. I don't need much but just enough for the 12th scale.

primusblowsgoat 03-04-2005 10:44 AM

gs has 100ft rolls or 3ft sections is all i found on the site, i may just get 100ft, its only 50 bucks

Wiring

Bill, Anton,
That is actually Jim's own build on the 12L4. He did use a lot of the ideas we've been working on this season.

Heres a shot of my Rev4 with centered wiring. It was harder than a tbar car since there is no space between the batteries. This car was built using 16ga wire from Cheap Batter Packs.com, very good flexible wire which you can buy in small or large quantities. We now use the Castle Creations wire as Ashby said, because it's smaller in diameter.

oops!

That's true, with a little hot sauce, you can eat it!

with the spektrum modules release, the receiver wire no longer needs to be long. What do you guys think about removing the upright antenna and rounting the wire on the inside of the car? I would think that the weight of that fiberglass antenna is quite a bit and at that height it would make a big difference.

O'D wiring

Thanks,Ray, I'm flattered
I have some other detail shots if anybody is interested, and can give instructions on how to.
