I just had my LHS order me a set for my 12th scale... hope they come in!

Looks like you can still get Jaco's cheaper from KT Hobbies A few dollars may noy be much, but my 12 year son can go through a lot tires sometimes
:D

I think you will find that the Parma 12th scale tires will hold up better. I realize it wasn't all of the Jaco lots, but some of them had a tendency for the wheels to break easily.

If you are looking for longer wear (less chunking), get the Parma Pink rears and then do superglue on the sides of either the purple (stock) or magenta (mod or low traction carpet) fronts

Hi just a quick question

Do you use grease on the pivot balls on an associated t-bar?

cheers John

John Hughes: I polish them, but no greese......

You want them to move as free as possible.

Every set of Jaco's I have used, the wheels have broken before the tire has worn out..

I feel weird handing out tire recommendations right now cause I be suckin right now in 12th-but pink rears and Purple fronts for me in stock.

SOme local guys are running well with Purple /Grey and not running out of traction they say. But I do think I drive the piss out of the poor car and I think thats leads the fronts to get grippier the whole run-and the rears dont keep up unless I run Pink.

Make any sense my dribbling on?

LOL Yes it's make sense. I'm glad to hear someone else say that out loud  I think that all the time. Am I just pushing it to hard? Don't know, but if it feels good, push it hard and hope you don't dump, right?

Tech tips for CEFX

if your having problems with your motor jumping out of mesh with an impact, the alloy motor mount is about 20 thou too thick, so when you tighten up the motor screws they arn't clamping too the carbon parts

you may of found that the front bumper is weak and prone too breaking, in the uk we've been making an over bumper, same shape, but not fastened as far as the wishbones, bolted though the center bolt and the front body mount.

i have used servo mounts with a 10 degree angle, servo saver hanging downwards, tierods slighly swept backwards, and small ball stubs mounted underneath the steering blocks, car now runs with no bump steer

as for setup i spoke to david spashett, he and the uk team have been running-

20wt oil in rear shock
green spring
standard t-bar
70wt in damper tubes
outer hole front damper plate
1 degree camber

hope this is some help, and made some sort of sense:D

1/12 Stock Motor Setup

Guys, I heard alot of setups for stock. What is the best for the Trinity motors?

I have heard 4499, vertical slot and shaved trailing and leading edge, green springs and a small hole through the center.

I have heard same as above but with one 4499 and one 767.

Any thoughts for 1/12 scale stcok motor setup for a big track?

TIA.

I use Hurricane Gold brushes serrated with Red/Green for speed tracks and Red/Red for technical tracks. IMO nothing beats the Hurricane golds in a stock or 19t motors.

I'm sorry if this has been answered before but does anyone know where i can get the new parma tires online. From what i was reading I'm not the only 1 who is breaking jaco's tires.. Thanks a bunch
