Hey guys how's things going? Just got in about 4hrs ago from Sacramento. Nat's were a blast. Track was huge and fast with the layout being easy to drive but hard to drive fast and it also had some bumps in key places that could get the rear ends loose if not careful. Cyrul won but he was really pushed by Baker, Blackstock, Dumas and Kinwald as they really put on a great show. Dave Lee won 12th Master with a "masterful" performance, hehehe, with Tom Espo getting second and Rick Worth taking third. Espo and Rick are hometown guys and Rick ran SMC HV's with Tom running Trinity SMH's and Lee running HV's but I'm not sure whose. TJ Bradley ran SMC HV's I think and won 12th Stock with a little controversy but I know this guy a some and he is a class act on the track, now after hours in the bar I don't know LOL!!! Tossilini, Paul, and Dumas are all class acts and they really battled hard. First Paul would put an awesome pass on Chris and then I would do the same to Paul and then Dumas got in there. There was a little bumping and nudging at times and the outcome seemed to keep going down to the wire. When the dust settled Chris got the win with Dumas second I believe and Paul third in TC Mod. Sorry that I don't know how TC Stock turned out as far as the action goes. As for me I had a great time but I lost a lap in the last minute in each of the last 3 qualifiers. The first qualifier was a wash because we (team integy) tried an 8 turn and according to Fabulous Baker "...you dumped with like 2min left dave, hehehehe". It was honestly a good laugh the two of us had and then he really helped me out by telling me what motor/gear/tire size he was running (10dbl, 28/104 @ 1.90" rears) and team Integy was off to the races from there with some further help from Paul Leimux, Jim Dieter, and Ken Jones of BBR fame, a big thanks to them all as well as Rick, Blackstock for advise and RD. My 2nd and 4th qualifiers were best with good 39lap paces but the last minute dump dropped them both down to 38's but that's part of the game. Arthur and Pat of Integy really helped a lot and I thank them again for their support up to and at this race. In the main my buddy Fernando got the jump on me at the start and ran up my butt full tilt but it was all good. I just wasn't fast enough off the line, my bad. Only problem was that I was left on the grid facing backwards but everyone avoided me so I did a U-turn and chased everyone down for 4min and got back into fourth place about 3 turns from the leaders and that's when the real damage appeared. My motor had been worked loose from the shunt at the start and my main was over as my car coasted to a stop. Still had ton's of fun though and I told Fernando that I wan't him to remove that blasted on-off switch of a GM V12 speedo! LOL! Then there was the big pizza party and BEER! Hats off to the Stockton crew. I thought that they were going to make a local club race out of a national event but instead they made a national event the most fun since Minnreg! Good job guys! As far as the US Triple Crown Series this was the fifth and final race of the season for it and it was a hum dinger with Dumas possibly winning the TC Mod crown. 12th Mod was already history with Josh winning Oktoberfast, Cleveland, and January Jam so now it's who is second and third. TC Stock and 12th stock should be heated and we'll know soon who won. The schedule for next years Triple Crown is pretty much set already and we're working hard to get the rest of last years trophies out. So what did you guys do over the weekend?

oh boy slight mistake: since I don't race TC yet I wasn't putting any passes on Paul it was Chris that would come back with a pass, heheheh. I meant to type "he" as in Chris and not "I" in there.

I heard that Cyrul was completely off the track in the start of the first A and he came back passed everyone all over again and took the win :eek: Damn he is good. Anywho, tragedy struck yesterday, my car skipped off of a crease in our carpet hit a dot at WIDEOPENTHROTTLE and smashed(literally) into the wall at the end of the straight. So, it appears that I will be ordering a new kit and starting over. Sucks for me but I guess that will teach me to run 7-turns :blush:

Whaaaaa, man you and that gas car crazy need for speed, hehehehe. Just sent you an e-m bro. Yeah until the third qualifier I think Cyrul was the only one to go a slow 41 lapper with everyone else on 39/40's. You might want to try one of two things with the guys up there: Either run together and the stocks just move over slightly and give some room running their own race like IMSA/WSC does with different classes running at the same time. You can also run back and forth on a set schedule between all mod and all stock giving everyone a chance to run what they like. I would also probably put a motor limit in mod to help them out something like 10 or 9 turns. Actually another idea may be for the stock guys to run 19turns which are close to stocks really and use much of the same tuning tricks but would help on the driving bit. I think the most important thing is that you got that thing going again. Hopefully people are running it because of the close racing they can have with another racer or two or three.

Donuts, Cyrul was punted off the track and under the drivers stand by Baker coming off the sweeper in the first lap of the first main. They marshalled him efficiently, but Josh was 10th. He drove through the field and was around 5th or 4th with 2 minutes to go, or so. Then the Associated team messed up, every body crashed and Josh was back in the lead.

I also want to mention something about the last main when Josh didn't participate. Baker ran out front for about 2.5 to 3 minutes with Mike Lufaso on his tail. The Fabulous one was holding the pace down. They were running 12.0's when they run 11.6 and 11.7 in other heats. Kinwald poured it on and caught them. Mike saw him coming and past Barry down the straight and into the sweeper, but he didn't make it. Kinwald blasted him in the sweeper, sending Mike back into the pack. He eventually went out when a E clip came off his right front and the tire came off the car. Kinwald was warned by the race officials for rough driving and he came off the track for a couple of laps. I think he said some things to the officials. Barry took back the lead at that point and lead Mike Dumas to the end. Kinwald re-entered the track and waited for Barry. He held Barry up for the last minute, but Barry was still able to keep his lead. After passing the start finish line, Kinwald took a couple of shots at Barry's car, but Barry dodged him. You can take it as you want, but I think ROAR messed up for not calling Kinwald off the track while driving in front of Barry. He could have cost Barry the heat by running that close. Being a lap or two down, he should have let them go and just drove along to the finish. End of story (unless there are questions).

I think that between me and a few other guys we should be able to get a mod class going. I would like to put a 10turn limit on the class like we have in TC so that batts arent such an issue. I'll get that "package" out to you ASAP. I cant thank you enough.

Foams= It's in Minnesota and you can find out more at twincityhobby.com. The dates are Open Practice starting at 9am on Thursday April 18 and Qualifying starts that Friday the 20th and Mains are Sunday April 22. It's going to be a blast, this is the same track/crew that holds the first race of the US. Triple Crown known as Oktoberfast and the track is dynamite so if you can make it you won't be sorry. You can even register over the phone I believe. Where's Petenis at????? Hope he's ok.

Yep Im OK! Its not MHR any more, a whole bnch of racers got together and bought doug out, and renamed the place twincity hobby and raceway. So now its referred to as TCHR. But no need to be up to speed with things, I never am. I'll know what your talking about. I know I race there every week and everything, but does anyone know the cut off date for entries for the norrcas? I really hope to see darnold and foams there, so they can burn little carpet doughnuts around my car.

well I dont know about running circles around anyone but I will try and get there. Gotta get a new kit first. I barely have enough time to get on here lately. It should ease up soon and I can settle back into my cell phone pager schedule. Looks like I already missed the deadline for hotel reservations. Now, are NORRCA races run pretty much the same as ROAR? Is there a motor limit and do sedans run on FOAM or flubber tires?
