Baboon14 or someting like that told me a setup once before but I cannot find it in the forums it was abuot a month ago or so. Also what body do you guys like to run. Thanks in advance. Originally posted by speedxl adrian m i run a quad 12 and there is no warping of the chassis with the brace like an oring car and it does not waigh more then tape especially when i have to add about an ounce on my car to make waight so you could say that it equals out. and by the way taping a batt in can cause the frame the warp also and if you bottom out the tape can snagg on the carpet. the quad 12 is an awsome car . If you use an O-ring thats TOO STRONG it will warp the chassis slightly, but it does so perpendicular to the chassis' centerline so it should flex evenly, pulling up both sides of the chassis. Don't leave your batteries in the car between race weekends and an o-ring retention system works fine. It's not like you have to take any screws out or cut two pieces of tape to get the cells out!!! |
Well since the Shooters chassis works on a Yokomo, I'm goin 1/12 scale :D
|
cypress wasnt putting them down still i would prefer an oring car over tape it was just a generalisation i didnt say that handling would be shitty because once you set the tweak the warpedge would hardly be noticable!

Anyone know the thickness on the Shooters chassis? I just ordered one.

Hey Ted ,
Sorry about your luck sunday , that A main was brutal , see you at Larrys ............... Bob :tire: |
The Reimon chassis has just enough chassis to mount the pod and the front. Way to weak and flexable. The Quad 12 is still the way to go if you want a T plate car. I'm not just saying this because I drive for doug either. Its just a better chassis. Good weight distribution with very little flex.

I just got back into racing recently and I converted my 12L3 to the Irs rug rat and I tell you to me its the best 12th scale Ive driven I just added the IRS front end and silva Tplate to it and what a diff it made to the car and how adding these parts to the car made a more stable and smoother car.I know im happy with the car and I love driving it just need to get my skills back

Strapping tape is the only thing I will use to secure my batteries now, I've had bad luck with O-Rings and battery straps.

WHICH 1/12 TO BUY....
Hello Everyone,
I'm playing with the idea of getting a new 1/12 car. I've been running the Associated RC12L3 for the past two years, but I think it might be a time for change. I mostly run stock if that helps. I would like to know the benefits of switching over to let's say the Rug Rat, or the new CRC T-force or the Trinity reflex 12. thanks, |
