kilruf- I am not a big trinity person either however, I am not going to shoot myself in the foot, lol. The new white rims (or at least the batches I have seen at my local track) alot of guys after they hit a few boards have found that the area where the bearing sits opens up and the wheels wobble rather badly (10+ degrees of slop).
Very, very few people i have seen run the proto speed 8, only the trinity speed 9 which copies the parma speed 8 are the only two bodies that are really run for speed 8's, lol. |
Nice Kevin... I mean Lowbugit. I'll see ya at the track in the morning.
I would try the Askari. But that thing mounts too damn low on the car. I can't get my stuff to clear. I might try later on. I actually ran an Askari on the Yok. But I didn't cut it that low. hehe.. Anyways, lemme finish hooking up my SD. Gonna run that too tomorrow. L8Rz JMac |
stormperson- Hit up Tony @ T.M. for tires. the rim is as stiff as a Jaco and as light as the TRC. And they always spin true. The URL is below.

I wish the TM wheels were a little more attractive... dont really like the styles they chose to go with.

who's rubber does t+m use? I got some in a raffle and the rears were greys they came un-glued in the middle just like the jaco's do. also I have had the jaco new white rims do that same thing along with beaking on the outside edge. and I don't hit much may 1 or 2 hits a race. I have switched to TRC tires on bothe cars (1/12 and sedan) just had to many problems with jaco.

the ascari body is really agressive, I was shocked to see guys running them in cleveland espically in mod. It also doesnt have airflow like the parma 8 or josh's body. And you are really hurting yourself if you are mounting your body high up in the air so that it doesnt hit your electronics, because then you have even more drag! lol. The parma 8 or trinity's copy speed 9 is the best way to go epsically for stock.
Jaco over the past year has split from Proline so they have been having problems. Right now they are pretty decent with the new white rims, except for the 12th scale front. In sedan they have had three rims in the past year and the newest ones are fine, I run Jaco sedan tires. I will check out TM Adam, thanks! Greg A runs for them right? (And I thought Mo used to?) |
Originally posted by JCB Randman, I deal with a great hobby shop. They have Hudy tire truers in stock I believe. Larry's performance RC 586-997-4840. Chris or Mike can help you out. Let me know if this helps. Juan |
stormperson--Greg and I both use TM stuff.
