bob- Defenently! lol. You might collapse a spring every once and a while, but thats normal on any 12th scale. I can hit walls and it really doesnt mess the car up nearly as much as it would with a new style, and its much simpler.

The only "mod" I do is just to make working on it easier. Instead of using the e-clips that come with it, I take the travel limiters (the plastic sticking out of the front of the steering block) cut them off, and then drill a hole and run a set screw through it so that the set screw holds the kingpin instead of the e-clips. Also to keep the shims from catching on the grooves on the stock kingpin (for the e-clips) I just take an AE offroad hingepin or strut kingpin, and cut it down (so it is not even close to the wheel, since you dont need a wicked long one like on the strut) and flatspot it so that the set screw will really hold it. You dont have to do this at all, but its nicer to work on, IMO.

stormperson - Thanks - Sounds like the front end to run.

One more question - Will the old skool front end screw in to the same holes that the new style front end uses ?

IE - Is it a straight swap without cutting the chassis ?

It's a straight bolt-on. The dynamic strut was originally released as a bolt-on hop-up for the 12LW which came with the old front-end.

Track is NICE!!!
Mo looked Darn good with the Assasin.

Question for David Lee Dave-I dont know when your coming back to the Gate-so I need to ask you this here. To run the IRS front end on my Speedmerchant Rev.3, do I need to run the servo up on mounts (at an angle) or flat? Do you have a pic of that front end on your old Rev3?

Btw-your Rugrat looked awesome in the Main.

Ted,

If you have a 3 channel reciever you can plug the reciever battery into the battery spot and the personal into the 3rd channel. You are only using the positive and negative from the 3rd channel to power the personal. The reciever pack will provide power to all 3 channels.

If this was patented a year ago.. is it available?
Does it fit on a CRC 3.2?

Brian- I was wrong about the receiver, it's a 2 channel XXL. Any thoughts???

You will probably need a Y adapter (splitter) then.

http://www.servocity.com/ServoCity/P...harnesses.html

Plug it into the Batt plug, then plug your personal into one part of the 'Y' and your receiver pack into the other part.
