Matt H - The problem is that there isn't an ideal place to mount the servo. Pre-drilled servo holes in 12th scale chassis usually get in the way of where you really want to mount the servo(Murphy's Law of RC). I had 3 sets of mount holes drilled in my prototype rugrat chassis to have the option of moving the servo foward and back over a 1/4". Weight bias and Ackerman changes have a huge effect on corner speed and on overall feel.

Another way of doing tweak is similar to the penies...

Instead of having penies which tell you which wheel lifted first, you could also look at it straight ahead and see which tire lifts first. Its rather difficult to get the hang of, but I know that Bruce does it this way, and it works very well if you can do it correctly.

Does anyone know of a source for this. Tower shows it but when it arrived it was actually Associated 14gauge, (twice). I also checked with Novak to no avail.

the wire you seek is available for 1/24 slot cars, the professional type that run on huge wood tracks, use it for guide lead wire, it's a hi-flex multistrand wire. Parma, Koford, Alpha, Slick7 plus more slot car companies have it.

B Kinwald had his R-12 wired up with 16G Novak wire when he was here in AZ on Nov 8.

it's lighter, less interfernce with pod movement...

i was hopping more ppl would know the answer but so far speedxl was the only one answered me and im not sure if he is sure about it. the compound in the kit is most definatly not purple and grey, they are too soft to be greys or purple!

GREEN disaster999, GREEN like what I told you at FR tonight.

POINT blank dude unless otherwise stated, or it's a corally the standrd compound will always be GREEN, if the fronts are harder they will be blues, but only CRC does that when they run short on front greens...........

just checked out the sites and i never realized how much those controller cost!! it cost more than my futaba 3PJ!!! 280 bucks for a controler that you would find on those tamiya car kits where they include a mechanical speedcontrol.

Boy am I in trouble, I bought Ruben Benitez's last years SM. Last night was the first outing for the car. It is awsome. I promised Ruben I would "TAKE GOOD CARE" of the car . Guess what , I got sent over the boards into a bench int the main. The shock came apart, (end pulled out), NO problem I have a rebuild kit. BUT both inner pieces of the damper tubes broke, (the male ones) where they screw into the ball cup. (Rubens Gunna kill me). We have our first round of the Western Canadian Indoor Carpet series next weekend. Where can I get these quick!!!! I have the only SM car here and there are no spares around yet. YAH I know I should have had some already. Probably a mail order place in the north west would the quickest. I went on SM'S web site this morning , but they list anything for fast service. "HELP"
