Couple weeks back. I learned of the Scott Jakes rubber tires. I finally got a chance to try them Saturday.

What kind of saucing did you do on the rubber tires?

I notice that they are significantly smaller than your foam tires - this creates a significant difference in ride height and possibly rake, which can make a really big difference in the handling of the car. Did you adjust for that? (typically it's a change of insert in the back for an Associated style of pod, and shims in the front)

I’m still very new to 1/12 scale. I made no changes to the car. When I bought it used, it had foams that were trued down to a similar size as the rubber tires. I’ve been using the CRC pre cut foams as a few are trying to get an outdoor class going. They have worked fine on the carpet.

Track only allows SXT 3.0 tote sauce on the carpet. Covered the rears. And just the inner half on the front. I’m kinda on my own learning and trying things with 1/12 scale. It’s not very popular in my area currently.

Wiring up my CK25 for some 17.5 racing. What gauge wire is used? I have some 14awg wire that’s nice and flexible, is that good enough? Also looking for some clean wiring ideas. Post pics or you wiring for inspiration.

How much were the rubber tires?

I bought 2 sets for $89 shipped. Bit more the the foams. But from what I’ve read from those that have been using them, they last much longer then a set of trued foams. I saw one post he’d done 80 rounds with a set and was still using them.

Where did you purchase them from?
