Im using this currently on my x12 on asphalt. Cant really give you any comparison thoughts with other bodies, they all feel similar to me. HOWEVER, either my skills got a bit better or this body is less easier to flip. I was using a protoform lightweight body before, aside from being chewed out after a few runs, I had a fair share of flips and cart wheeling.

Another thing I noticed is the cockpit of this body is a bit narrower, smaller. It didnt affect the chassis in anyway, but just an observation.

Back in college, our engineering lab had a 5 micron and 1 micron polisher and my buddy and I polished the diff ring till it had a mirror finish for shit and giggles. Didnt help improve performance tho.

The most important thing about the diff rings is you want to get it as flat as possible. kitchen counter top or a piece of glass works best and apply even pressure across the ring to minimize high and low spots. Usually the right side wheel hub makes a good diff ring holder.

Or just buy TKO's flat and finished differential rings.

Best differential rings available IMO.

I am looking for info and pics for a body that I use to race back in the mid 90's I thought it was a Mazda but it didn't have a rear wing. It was a popular body during 94 I would like to find it again

Thanks Chris

Protoform P35 is probably what you are looking for. Pretty sure that's what Spashett had on his car when he win the IFMAR worlds in 94.

I remember Tamiya having a short tail Mazda GTP. There was also short tail versions of the Porsche 956/962, Jaguar GTP, or Mercedes GTP.

I really wish that it was more common for rules to mandate more scale looking bodies such as those. So cool.
