There sure isn't much for info on their compounds, so I'm leary of going that route. TQRC has BSR wheels/tires, so I might go that route instead.
Ordering from TQRC limits my body choice a bit though. Amain has the Parma EE1 which I like the looks of. EA and Chicky have it a good review. It looks a bit more scale/less batmobile compared to the Protoform offerings. Unfortunately TQRC does not carry it.

BSR wheels are excellent (and black).

For bodies, you can't go wrong with the CRC BlackArt Mohawk (http://www.stormerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...=cs&pn=CRC4169)

I personally also like the Protoform AMR

I am anxious to try the new Protoform

I've run the EE1 in 17.5 blinky back to back with both the AMR12 and R8c. Personally, I wouldn't run the EE1 even if they paid me to do so. My new favorite is the Strakka.
While I haven't run the BSR tires, I have run the CRCs and have put the Xceed tires up against them. On my track (old rug, medium grip once a layout is established and grooved in) I'm consistently .2 seconds per lap quicker on the Xceed carpet medium front and carpet medium rear versus the CRC Greene rear with Chrome fronts. I'm waiting on CRC Blu fronts and rears to try. Unless some combination of CRCs significantly improve my lap times I will be sticking with the Xceeds. I run the white rim version and at $7.50 per set versus $13.00 for the CRC's, it's a no brainer. I've also run the Mobgums and really like the feel and durability of those. Tony Block is selling at a tough to beat price, but they really don't fit into your color scheme.

I wouldn't. It will work but check the servo speed after six minutes. The ones I've seen would not keep up with a snail.

They are great with a booster or receiver pack - low cost, excellent performance and good quality. But run with only a 1S pack - not a good choice IME. HTH :)

The Mohawk is kind of cool. I would consider running that one on looks alone.

The foam is the same for BSR/CRC/Jaco/Pro One since BSR is the OEM. The only difference is the rim. For most of the folks in the midwest we're running one of the BSR brands especially Blues and Double Blues in the front and Green or Blues in the rear. The new foam wears uber well and the tires just stay more consistent throughout the run so you're not adjusting your driving throughout the run.

I added the Xceed carpet mediums to my cart, removed the EE1 body, and added the Strakka. Thanks for your help! TQRC is out of Mohawk bodies, unfortunately. They are also out of the TC body that I use...doh!
A club member has a lipo for me that was only used at one event, and another member is selling me a micro rx. Now I just need to track down a servo. I kinda like the Airtronics 94761Z since it is smaller than other 12th scale servos....it can be mounted up front to make more room for electronics since I'd like the option to mount the lipo longitudinally.

I made a new upper pod plate from some 2mm CF that I had left over from a combat robotics project. Since it is thinner than the broken 2.5mm plate, I added in some extra material for added strength.

I'm seriously considering trying out the Xenon front end on my good old CEFX car. Just wondering if anyone here in the states has had good luck buying straight from them? The price isn't too bad for everything and it is enough to qualify for free shipping.

Xenon is wonderful to order from! Any time I have ordered anything it's been about a week till I get it and I am in Wisconsin.

Don't hesitate at all to order from them.

Hi, the xceed pro tires are on a very light weight rim, If you can race without hitting anything they are ok, but they are very fragile.

Just moved electronics in my Xti from battery to the rear to battery to the front and esc to the rear, man what a difference. car has a lot of steering and fun to drive. car was more consistant all night. I've been running the Black Art Mohalk body and currently running the new Black Art Toyota. Both fell very simmular to me, also been running CRC Black front and White rear. I want to try the Blues and Greens.

Futaba and KO have the best servos for 12th scale. Read back a few pages and you'll see this info about 2-3 times.
