I have tried a few but it does not sit right. A Part number would be good.

Coxy,

A spur gear is a spur gear. CRC has an on line store, you can order it there, or you can phone them duruing the day and John will probably answer the phone and send your parts right away. You can't beat CRC customer service.

They have some good Tire Sace too.

Graphitedust, Stormperson,

I have to disagree with you about the KR motors. I have been running a 11x2 and I make run time with 3000's! True it's not an 8 or 9 turn, but I still run lap times in 10.8 to 9.8 which is good for 43 - 45 laps in 8 min. I'm still woriking on consistancy.

The guy that that won this past Sat. ran 48 laps (9.8sec/lap).

I would buy it from CRC themselves but I never get a response from any emails I send them.

So I am after the brand or others that fit that I can buy on line.

Thanks in advance for anybody whishing to share some info.

Coxy.

I run Kimbrough gears in my carpet knives.

Picutres of Irrgang 'Rug Rat' Chassis Installed on 12L3

Has anyone seen, or have access to, pictures of Mike Dunnigan's IRS Rug Rat conversion car from the Paved Nationals? I am very interested in buying this conversion and would like to catch a glimpse of it installed on a 12L3. Pictures of anyone else's setup with this chassis conversion would be appreciated as well.

I have seen pictures of the kit at Irrgang's website (www.teamirsrc.com) but would love to see how the car looks together. I am very interested in viewing how their dampening tubes work with the side springs as part of the tubes.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Bob Zahn

P.S. Does anyone know where I could purchase this conversion kit? Irrgang wants $135 direct from their website. I have heard rumour of them selling for ~ $90 at other online shops but haven't seen them anywhere.

Bobby Z - I'll post some pictures of my car later this week if you are interested. Do you race carpet or asphalt?

Irrgang sells stuff off his website as a service to racers that cannot purchase the products elsewhere. The prices are at or near retail because he doesn't want to undersell hobby shops or distributors. If you are looking for an online shop, check out speedtechrc.com. They sell IRS stuff and I'm sure they could get it for you. No idea about the price though.

My L3 with CRC Tubes

1 Attachment(s)
I am still tuningit, at first I thought it was to soft, so I added, small ballpen springs inside the tubes, still the same but i found out the reason I was spining is I was geared to high, which causes the rear to loose traction and my diff is too tight.

sorry aboutthe image just using a web cam

Thanks for the input Eric! What were you running for timing/rollout? I've run an 11x2 before, but had to use some pretty aggressive timing to make much power.

JohnnyRotten 07-15-2003 09:19 AM

Hi guys,

does anybody knows any shops that sell 12th Jaco donuts online and will ship international with reasonable price?

, besides towerhobbies?

It's been a month since I last ran my 12th scales cars, pls help thanks

Graphitedust:

I'm not super motor savy so I run it how I bought it. The timming is set a about 1 1/2 marks past 0 (15-18) I think, I'll check when I go home for lunch.

As far as rollout, I think I recall having approx. 1.77 dia. tire, so my rollout was around 1.668, again I'll check at lunch.

I would have liked a little more punch for our current layout, so I might change my gears or adjust the expo. on my radio.

Eric

after lunch... timming is 1 mark advanced 12 degrees, tire size and rollout are correct.

Mike D

Thanks for the quick response. I would love to see some pics when ever you have time to get them on this forum or send them direct if that is easier. I mainly run carpet but have considered running some asphalt before the summer is over.

Here is my E-mail address

[email protected]

Thanks also for the explanation of pricing on their website. I suspected as much but wondered if the lower price I have heard about was true. I will contact speedtechrc and inquire.

Thanks again

Bob Zahn

P.S. Great job at the Nats!! The t-plate cars can still hold their own!

Graphitedust 07-16-2003 08:57 AM

Fike: Thanks for the info! Looks like a pretty cool track you race at too! :D

EricF 07-16-2003 02:55 PM

Graphitedust- not a problem, you guys seem to have a lot of useful information.

Thanks,
Eric
