That is a great contribution Rich, I just might print a bunch of these out and bring them to the track for anyone who may have missed this!

Sounds great! Hopefully that will get more folks willing to give 1/12th a try since they'll see there really isn't that much to them - especially compared to touring car.
My summary sheet for touring car is 2 pages and I had to make the side and top/bottom margins smaller to get it all to fit. Nuts! -Rich |
Great Rich-now give away ALL your secrets!! Now see if you make the A at the Champs ever again!!! You'll soon be making my list I keep in my tool box. It's header reads this in bold letters:
GUYS I USED TO BE FASTER THAN :flaming: :cry: |
Your list fits in your pit box? My list is so long I have to double-fold it and roll it up with my pit towel.

I do not take credit for the info, I just compiled it all in a "cheat sheet" that I hope others (especially newbies) will find useful in enjoying 1/12th scale and getting their cars dialed in. Oh, most of the info is oriented towards link cars with side springs since I drive a Rev.3, but the same principles apply to T-bar cars. Enjoy and let me know if there is any incorrect info or info you feel I should add. (I have one also for touring cars, but I have conflicting info regarding roll-centers so I am not releasing that at this time). -Rich |

[QUOTE=Mike D]Good info! [QUOTE]
Hey Mike! How goes it? I haven't been racing much the last couple years -- just some 1/12th about once a month last year during fall/winter. This year I picked up an electric TC and am getting back into that again. :) -Rich |
I know this may be the wrong place to ask, but does anyone have a JR Z3650 they are willing to sell? I'm in dire need of one before Vegas. Thanks!

I've had better luck with the 3550. My 3650 blew up at the snowbirds, and even before it annhilated itself, it never centered properly. Went back to the 3550 at the nats and the car was way better. In fact I never had to retrim the car between runs except when I broke my car every 19t main, convienently right before the stock main.... 3 times in a row!

Really? Cool, I just wanted a digital servo that was a drop in on my CRC. Your the first I've heard with such problems though.

Good case for an Airtronics 94145.
|
there have been on and off problems with it for some others. It may have been an issue with slightly low bec voltage/current too. Regardless, the 3550 is money.
|
Unfortunately the 3550 is no longer made by JR. We have had centering problems with every digital servo, including the 3650. While the 94145 is an ok analog servo, right now we are favoring the Futaba 9602.
|
are you serious? No more 3550! Crap! Well, at least I still have 2. Hopefully they will last a bit.
