AdrianM,

Who makes that woven graphite axle on your Rug Burn? Looks cool :weird: ! Is it hollow shaft?

jas 04-09-2006 08:54 PM

SpeedMerchant Rev.4

I'm ready to buy a SpeedMerchant Rev.4 kit.
THe official website doesn't seem to have it listed though. Where else can I find it online? Thanks!

Oh, while we are at it, any recommended spare, upgrades should I also get?

It is a hollow, thin wall woven carbon axle by Riemon Racing in Japan. The woven tube allow for thinner walls without sacificing strength. It is obscenely light.

Unfortunatly, it is expensive to make and it was too expensive for us to import and distribute.

If you guys are interested in the Bently of rear axles shoot me an email.

If the problem perseveres, go for tweaking the car every run.

thanks pro ten yup i forgot to rotate the tyres i was having to much fun to think about that :p but when i got home i took all the tyres off to store them in glad wraps and did a comparison in sizes and the fronts came off pretty much the same so were the rears (left to right) although i need a digital vernier to be more accurate

You should always run the cap it helps with voltage spikes.

Oh, thanks for the info. And I guess a new CRC Carpet Knife is also coming out too. How about the CRC T-Force, any new version coming soon?

Korey Harbke 04-10-2006 09:03 PM

As far as I know, there isnt a new t fource in the works. You can only do so much to it anymore. The Carpet knife Frank had at nats was really cool though. Nice and narrow :sneaky:

Frank is simply catching up to Speedmerchant's current design. I'm really curious to see what the REV5 looks like.

Korey Harbke 04-10-2006 09:58 PM

He does it a little differently, thats why I think it's cool.

I want to try a link car since I've never driven one. I'll probably just buy whichever comes to market first. Any rumors as to how far off the Rev5 and new Knife are?

Yeah and I own a CRC, makes a lot of sense.

Speaking of jock strap, is there any 1/12 chassis you haven't nutted over yet?
