thanks,
Mi3?
Is there any way to get the little screws to do up in the inner hinge pins without binding up the arms, even after getting the correct clip on spacers (2mm on each side of arm) it still binds, i know some dont run the screws at all, but i do want to run them as i think it will hold it all straight and less likly to move the blocks in a crash.
I was thinking sand down the 2mm clip on spacers a bit?
Also is there any wheel hex's for this car that are a bit thicker. (i hate spacers) and some rims have a deep hex hole that binds at the rear end.

Paul,
Use the Mi4 hubs, no spacers needed.
Have you got an arm reamers? You need to take some material out from the hole that the shafts slides through.

as far as the pin bind goes, i believe that many of the pin blocks were drilled too deep, making the pin bow upward when the screw draws the hingepin in to the bottomed out position. you can ream the arms, but because the bow is in the vertical plane a larger arm hole will cause a little slop in the sideways direction.

I think if you really want to run the screws, then you'll probably be ok running less than 4mm total spacer. Not sure if it needs to be as low as 3mm or probably more like 3.5mm.

Yes they do.
hinge pins
I use the schumacher reamer or you can use one that almost everyone has for reaming stock motor bushings they are .125.I also replace the 2mm shim with 2 1 mm ones for finer adjustment and use the teflon washers for stock brushed motors between the clips and arms cause the pins are mounted and dont rotate like on most other cars.I use the screws and spend a little time fitting them and there is almost no slop .

MI2 question for you. I run 13.5, rubber, carpet with the stock chassis. I've found a BMI-2 chassis that's the thicker rigid chassis good deal. Would that be an improvement though since it's stiffer and I'm running rubber on carpet?

Hello everyone
My Mi3.5 is beeing degraded to superstock class (9.5T brushless) and I wil need to fitt lipo i my 5cell chassie. How do you guys fitt them? I have Corally 5000 packs.
And, I want to fit steel dogbones in front(tired of the alu bones breaking), I have heard the MI2 stell bons can be fitted, but I cant find any at racing-cars.com - Anyone know were I could find any?

but that's me ...
they are crappy carbon steel and are no stronger (perhaps weaker). additionally, the use different geometry (m.i.p. dimensions) at the cv joint than do the current ones. i would just go with the latest hd versions, that use new spring steel axles, and have an extra set of pin holes in the bones.
but that's me ...

U3267 - Driveshafts; Heavy Duty - Mi3
Just tried those and the pin going into the outdrives came of on one of them after few packs. Might be caused by worn outdrives - So maybe I should give them another try then..
