Longer pieces increase steering speed and decrease steering resolution. In general the steering becomes more aggressive with longer pieces and calmer with shorter pieces. IMHO it is a matter of driver preference. I always try to run the shortest piece I can while maintaining enough steering speed.

I'm VERY impressed with this car! From a great build to an amazing drive this is what I've been waiting for.

Hey All, just picked up an MI3.5. Wondering if anyone can direct me to some reasonable starting setups for asphalt, rubber, tight technical tracks. We race on concrete that has pretty decent grip and no traction compound applied. Looking forward to this car. Will be getting the Exotek MI3X chassis but for now could use a start point. Thanks

Wow my bad hadn't checked this thread yeah I got it, car works really well. Chassis without the battery cutouts is a bit stiffer and seems more responsive. It is worth the money on if you have the 3/3.5 chassis.

Thanks, had gone there first but looks like only 1 setup for asphalt....all the rest are carpet. (edit) It seems the site has a glitch...did a search on this thread for "setup" and it said there was nothing...just tried again and bunches came up. I'll look through posts to find some info.

RKeasler, Glad to hear that MI3X chassis is working for you. I'm looking forward to it. Does anyone out there use lipo's with the humps on the bottom of the hardcase?? I had inquired to Mike at Exotek about whether they could be made into the MI3X chassis or made available for special order. Seems many people have those packs.

Thanks Adam, that's where I looked. MI3.5 setup sheets. Of 11 listed only one applies to rubber/tarmac. Am I missing something? Noticed the MI3 section a bit larger....are the 2 chassis that close that I should look there??

Default wow...

Considering a sedan again, looking at the Mi4-LP. Quality fit and finish looks at least on par with Xray, anyone confirm this?

Are you running their top deck also? I ordered my chassis & top deck on Monday but I don't think they shipped it before their holiday shut down.
