FSEARA Race #1 Superior Hobbies race report.

We as a Schuie team had good results, Mark Burt 1st in 10.5 & 2nd in modified, Tony Padilla 2nd in 17.5, Kyle Eden 4th in 17.5. Greg and I were right there in modified. We all had really good cars, now we just have to work on Adam's car to get that rig to steer!
No big setup changes, just fine tuning adjustments- the biggest being more camber -2.25 for the jaco tires. I got behind on my tire sauce Saturday but my car was good Sunday, my driving...well, I had my chances but, woulda coulda shoulda

Default Shock building

I received my Mi3.5s today and I am stripping the car down to get an understanding of the car and to check things like diffs/shocks etc.

Can I ask;

How do I set shocks up to have 50% rebound - is this a matter of putting the shock pistons in half way when filling with oil?

What oil comes in the car out of the box?

Guys what inboard toe-in shims are you using with the 1*degree rear hubs in general, getting some for 17.5 class at a ROAR region race this weekend.

on my current setup with 1 degree rear hubs i am using 2mm shim on the front and no shims on the rear, but that was to get more steering, if pently of steering is had, go to .5 or 1mm if need to calm the rear end down

Schumacher Bump...page 5..cant be having that

So i might aswell ask a queston

I just joined the Schumacher UK team, and am awaiting my MI3.5

Seeing as its indoor season now, whats the best starter...Chris Ashtons Base Carpet setup?

Will be racing on very very highbite carpet though, (its a permonant venue, so the carpet is glued to the floor)

Any suggestions.....this is with the 5 cell kit.....rubber tyres.

Cheers

Steven

I'd say the carpet rubber kit setup is not a million miles away from where we'd usually start, so i'd go with that.

Hi all-
Just bought a nice used Mi2EC to run in our club's Sportsman 13.5 class. I've been getting a TA-05 into the top half of the A main so this should be a nice step up for me.

My eyes are all blurred from hours of scanning this thread for the Mi2EC era -- looks like the early 400 pages? Was there a dedicated Mi2 or Mi2EC thread or is this the place?

A couple of quick questions...

I will run an Orion 3600 lipo. What's the best way/place to add the necessary weight to this chassis?

I've always run Tamiya tub cars with battery trays and plastic hold-downs. Do I just use strapping tape to hold my pack in this car or is there a better way?

I downloaded the manual and the Teemu Euro Champs 2005 setup sheet. Would this still be a good baseline setup for rubber on medium-sized, grippy asphalt?
