His entire post was a joke, saying exactly what not to do. See the last line about getting a 14.2 on a 9-second track.

I'm running in Nashville where EA runs. What I've noticed about the car is that on med-high traction we r getting a lot of build up on bottom of chassis (both sides ) and we have the actual Vegas track and carpet for a few yrs back . What would u do to keep this rubbing to a minimum or at least keep it from building up as think on chassis ?
Set up is :
Front ;kit set up except 2mm shim under outer links and 0 under inner in #2hole
Rear ; kit set up except high role blocks , 5mm under outer link ,.5mm in front of arm 2mm Behind arm (kit 3mm of shims kept arms bound up on my car )
Ride height is 5.4F/5.8R with 1.5uptravel in front /2mm rear up travel
Cars weight bias is about 48%F/52%R(1382g)
Ea6500/70batt / duo 3.5 tq rotor 3.8fdr / futaba bls551/ airtronics MT-4 / lrp sxx v2 spec (no heat sink version)
EA is running a 10.32 fast lap / I'm at 10.57 at best .
Tkanks in advance for any help
Hi. Glad you are liking car!. First off I wouldn't worry about the dragging, if the car feels good it Can drag all it wants, if you set out to have it not drag normally it will stop handling as good. My car at the last race worked really well and didn't drag much for me so maybe check it out. It's the "Cleveland" set up.

Promodvette: sorry, sometimes this thread can get just as unimformational as it is informational. The post was a joke with "express" who was a team mate of mine from the late 1990's, that was some stuff we used to do. You don't want to do that stuff. Thanks!

When I was running the T4 kit setup, it would rub a lot. When I started testing Paul's "Cleavland" setup, it hardly rubbed at all. Just like an 8th inch

Liking the new setup, by the way. Still waiting on the gear diff, but it still seems better than kit setup

Hi Paul,
I see a lot of the team drivers set ups are shimming the front arms to be sweeping back.
What are they looking for with this change?

Hi peter, i was using Deans before but for 12th scale it was too difficult to find a good place for the plug. I switched in TC just to make it easier with one charger. bullet plugs are definately the trend now, just because its cleaner with no external plug. the downfall is plugging them in backwards sometimes, which yes i have done on a few occations. lol

Hi Clint. I honestly cant say for sure. when i test Ft arm sweep out it it definately changes the way the car drives a bit but i never see dramitic result in lap times, normally a little easier to drive. Personally i think many people like it do to the major change in wheelbase that results. i would guess for all of those who like it and dont re adjust their wheelbase, they would simply like a shorter wheelbase without doing the sweep as well.

thanks!

Just wondering what tire you run? I found sorex tires are always loud. But this is a good question. I tend to think what makes the screech sound is the tire slipping and a slipping tire isn't going to make you faster.

Jaco blue. I agree if it's the front slipping (pushing) but I'm thinking it's the rear breaking loose a bit coming out of the corner (I'm thinking a point before too loose, "loose is fast " comes to mind. Lol

Speaking of loose is fast...

I'm running a T3'12 in VTA. I like that is is loose, but in the later minutes of the main it gets a little too loose to the point it does slow. I need to tighten up the rear just a little. What kind of change could I make to just tighten it a little?
