Default Aluminum vs plastic

Hi Paul, wondering what your thoughts are on plastic knuckles and rear up-rights vs aluminum? notice you use mostly plastic, is there a difference in handling that you've noticed? Thanks

Great Job Paul on your first big 12th scale win at the Birds. Everyone else might get mad
when the Paulie juggernaut starts taking down 12th races like you have with sedan races.

Congrats,

Mitch Witteman

Hi. Their is a difference in handling between the plastic and aluminum stuff. I have tested with the aluminum parts but rarely found it to outperform the plastic pieces. I would say that on most tracks you will have more traction with the plastic pieces. That being said though the car would normally be easier to drive with aluminum caster blocks.
Thanks.

Hi Nathan. Both Alex and i use the ECS shafts in front. even the other car manufactures it is pretty common now to have them.

Hey Paul,

First off, good show at the Birds this week. Both cars looked great, nice showing for Xray and Gravity between yourself and Alexander. I was wondering where your 12th ended up at for setup? Were you running as soft of a car as the Associated guys were this week? Lastly, what compound of tires did you end up on? In the main your car looked dialed! Thanks in advance.

HI, Thanks! The week went really well for the team.
I was actually super stiff side to side in the rear with Wolf green springs, they are way way stiffer than any other side spring i have ever seen used. In the final i used soft tires all the way around and my car was very good, but Alex also had pace to win, he tested and liked the Medium compound all the way around even better but i was too afraid to change.

I used 52mm ecs's in the front, i'm not sure which ones Alex used though.

Thanks!

Hi Paul,

Firstly congrats on your result last week....amazing that the best drivers win whatever class they run......typically Moore, Jefferies and Harper walk away with the 12th here in the uk when they decide to 'play'!

Quick question regarding anti dive on tc, firstly, when would you run it? And as I posted earlier, I've recently had success running with anti squat on the rear, how do you think the car would behave with dive on the front and squat on the rear....I'm thinking about 0.5mm on each.

Cheers

Mark

Hi Mark. I would run anti dive if my car has really good steering in the center of the corner but lacks forward traction.
I tested anti squat and i felt like it made good forward traction but once you spun the tires off the corner (easy to do in mod) it was more out of control, pro squat was more controllable when spinning the tires in modified but anti squat had more steering in the center of the corner than pro squat. in the end i ended up back at flat rear pins.

Hope that helps. Thanks

Thanks!. I think the wolf springs are really old, I think were made for a 10th scale front end well over a decade ago, i think ?. I got mine from EA who seems to always have everything lol. They are so stiff that i would be surprised if think they will work many places but that is what i ran. I would assume that you could get them from a oval specialist.

Im not 100% sure but i think these are them
