I went with the Novak. The Novak Ballistic is great because it is fully rebuildable and you can install various stators in one can. The Ballistic motor also has a good amount of torque and when geared properly is as fast as the Duo. There are really no downsides to the Ballistic motor, not to mention, it will match your 009!

As a side note, I also run the KO ESC and owned a 009.

i would get the new Trinity Nemisus motor and buy the rotor tuning kit as well witch will let you tune your motor to the all out extent.

I have a Novak Ballistic 13.5, and it has GOBS of torque and runs remarkably cool. I'm picking up a EPIC Duo2 13.5 tomorrow, so I'm going to do a comparison test and post the results here.

Hey Ryan

Can't go wrong with either motor. Just gotta play with ESC settings and gearing to find that sweet spot.

As far as appearance goes. The big red Duo sticks out like a sore thumb on most cars. I hate the way it looks in my HB. The Novak would look pimp in your car. Especially since you wired it up all nice.

See ya at the track.

That is true. We spent all that time making it look good.
