I race in a parking lot series that also includes nitro sedan and Inferno GT's, so the layouts are fairly large and open (usual layout is 180x90), so I don't think it really hurts the car's performance. It actually makes for a car that is easy to be fast with, especially in 27T/13.5T classes where momentum is so important and where smooth is fast. A faster, digital servo *will* be my next upgrade though, and then lipo once someone makes an SMC-sized saddle pack with bullet connectors

BTW I love how you have that saddle pack conversion. Did you do that yourself?
Hows the weight distribution?

It's actually the Factory Kit version (FK04) of the T1 Evo 2 which is a saddle-pack car. The FK adds a C-hub conversion and I believe came with a front diff instead of a one-way. 05 brought the battery on one side, electronics on the other config. I really like the saddles, it makes balancing a breeze but also makes motor cooling more difficult, and lipo choices (at least ROAR legal ones) are slim...I think that will change though as I see more and more manufacturers bringing them out.

here is the KF05 we diod this past weekend
we polished ALL the aluminum
i dont know if the pics shpw it but it looks like crome
also it has a ATOMIC battery strap (for a 008)on it
it allowed us to set the lipo out for ballast to keep us from adding weight (we run vta and only need 1450
this car balances out with 10g added on electronic side @ 1452

Nice setup you got there. I love that blinging lipo!
For 19 turn racing what would be the best gearing, running on asphalt, with 26 mm tires.
Also how do I no if the gear is 64 pitch or not?

Ok, well I now no I am running 64 pitch. I am going to the track later and I will take a picture of it. It is fairly large. I run at Jacksson Rc. It was also just repaved with high grade tennis court asphalt.
