Default Warpspeed Xray

Hey all you Snowbird bound racers-Look me up on Tuesday night (rooms under my name) if you want to run the stiff top plate or whole chassis conversion at the race. I am 100% confident that you will go faster with a stiffer car at this race.

Take care,
Ray Huang

I saw where Josh Cyrul used a 19/100 gearing combo at the Novak trackside race on his T1EVO2.

Was he running 48 pitch? If not how can you run such a small diameter Spur gear and keep the motor from touching the belts?

Thanks.

Hello all,
I've Made the switch. My dad bought me the T1 evo 2 about a month and a half ago, I built it, but I had been concentrating on my TC3. Sold the TC3 last week, I love the Xray. I had a T1 before, but the evo 2 is far better. My question is, what is reccomended to buy for the car? I'm about to order the spring kit (the one w/20 springs) and the front blade type adj. sway bar, and a pair of spare 3* C hubs. What else would you reccomend for the car? I don't break often, and I rarely hit the boards during a race. Also, what's a good setup for carpet? I was going to run 60 wt oil all around, red front springs, and violet rears with plaid/purple or double purple/purple.

Also, is $84.90 a good price for the 20pc spring kit and blade adj. swaybar? to me, that seems pretty ludicrous after running ae stuff for 2 years...

you may want to go with the wire type sway bar up front. If you ever decided to try the short arms, the blade will not work for you.
the low ratio gear set would be a good buy as well.

I would check around for a beter price. Give TQ hobbies a call for good prices on Xray parts. Also I would ugest you get 6* C-hubs. and the Solid layshaft. Along with what theisgroup sugested. If you go many pages back there is a set up posted by my self from Alex Lopez Cleveland winning car.

GOOD Luck!

Personally I wouldn't bother with the low ratio pullies. They are good if you run mod or 19t, but I feel it won't pull out of the corners hard enough running a stock motor. I don't know how others feel out this, but I just don't feel that they are any good for stock racing.

I would just get a stiff upper deck and the other things mentioned. Definatly get some extra c hubs.

I remember someone was making a wide front foam bumper last year. Anyone know who was making it?

I think you benefit by getting the lower ratio pullies esp for carpet racing. Allows you to run a 128 spur and allows you to get the motor up off of the chassis.

Just my 2 cents
