Of course it was necessary, i'm allowed to make uninformed prejudicial remarks about slovakia and slovakians because i'm totally ignorant and bigoted... and because i'm English

Apparently there have been enough concerns for Xray to post this on their site.

Yeah, but if it prevents any trouble it's well worth the extra couple of minutes.

+1 - I'm letting the glue dry now.

The first thing I thought when I saw the new car is that the suspension holders are not strong enough. It doesn't matter how much CA glue you put in the holes, a good "side slapper" will rip it out every time. It's a good idea for handling but the 009 setup is better for durability.

I wonder if the larger cutouts to allow for the pulley to be flipped (to swap the belt sides) is causing it to be weaker?

Look them up yourself. The Photon is $380 and the TC5 is $360. Other than them, most other touring cars are right around $500 as well. The 416X, Corally Phi, MI4, etc. are all at least $470.

Nick Priest fails to mention that he pushes new bulkheads for the TC5 that add $80 for the car. He leaves that bit of info out. Not to mention the $75 Tamiya shocks he has on his TC5. Suddenly his $320 TC5 is now $475.
