Can tamiya parts be used with T3?

Some people use Tamiya shocks on their Xrays. Otherwise, the standard parts on the Xray T3are very, very good...Not a lot of options needed for carpet or asphalt.
With the new Xray T3 2011 coming out soon, you should be able to buy a slightly used T3 with some spares for $300-350. A steal.

shock o-rings?
Hey guys, I have often used HPI o-rings when I build shocks for super smooth and seem a good balance for wear. Anyone have a o-ring preference? Will HPI 0-rings work in the plastic Xray shocks? Thanks.

The ones in the kit... They are the best shocks Ive ever used/built..

Outboard toe makes the car square up on power. Good for open / mod , maybe not so good for stock classes where the driving lines are more rounded to carry speed. This past weekend I used 1 degree outboard toe in Mod, but 0 degree in stock.

Thanks
Hey thanks, someone tried to explain it to me last night, made no sense, this clears it up. Funny that someone else was looking for this same info.

Also, outboard toe (hinge pin hole machined into the upright) reduces the chance for binding. Excessive toe using shims can make the hinge pins bind since the shims are flat. This was more of an issue with the T2 series that didn't have toe machined into the bulkheads.

I just finish building the T3 and now I am trying to get it to ROAR rules weight of 1420 grams. The car is light as it is and now I need to stick on a ton of weight. Anyone have some pics on where to stick all three strips equalling to 84 grams or can they be stuck on the side of the lexan body?.
