Thats how Masaki made all those nice ABC Factory and Yokomo Prototypes, and a few cars that were actually run in competition by Masami!

Are you intending on basing it off some other car (making a conversion, as it were)? Or at the most just get some bits and bobs, like pod bulkheads and stand-offs?

Some stuff I forgot to ask... as I was trying to find bodies, I see that there are variations in front width of the cars. Since I don't have an adjustable front width on mine, and I know I would not be able to stand the tires being tucked way inside the body, what ones would fit a RC10L2 in the front correctly?

I would really prefer a larger canopy style car, as the newest bodies with the tiny canopy look goofy. I would LOVE a Porsche 962, but I see the MIX 962 has a 232mm front end, so that sounds like it is out. Any decent options for a Porsche?

How does the Associated Nissan GTP measure up front?
What about AndysRC bodies now that he is doing them again?

And I see there is a Vans Lowla for sale on here... is there someone who could make some copies of it reasonably?
I always loved the Lola T92 Group C cars growing up, would be neat to see a decent RC version, would love any pics/examples of one in use.

Scratch built.

Bulkheads for the first version will be older style Zen pod ones. I've already got a refinement in mind for the future there but I don't have to pay for them as is do no rush.

Most other bits will be Zen, Xenon and Roche.

There will be at least 3 iterations of the car. Stock 12th style then a different front end and the rear end setup.

Anyone know is Serpent offered a centered Ackerman pill for the steering? Might just have to machine my Own.

The Protoform 905B has a larger canopy than the newer bodies like the Saxo or Swift. It should fit a 10L2 well.

Another option is to add a suspension cross plate on your chassis for the wider bodies (space the suspension out further). This will involve a bit of fabrication, but might be an option.

I thought about that too, but wasn't sure about screwing up the front ride height... although I see some guys use spacers to lower the front of the chassis.
With so many kits using Associated suspension, one of the existing pieces from somewhere would have to be a bolt-on fit, right?

Interesting architecture for the steering. Don't forget to fix the bell crank system on your front plate, or you will have to re-set the bump-steer after each run...

I went for the Awesomatix steering on mine...

That's interesting. I had thought about using Awesomatix suspension too.

In the front? It would mean that you would have moving lower arms, which is largely prohibited in the category right?

Have a look at probotix, they have turn key systems of different sizes.
I use the Comet model and it works very nicely.

Yes in the front but not with a moving lower arm. Was looking at pushrod operation of the shock unit.
