Im thinking it's a composite craft predator, the predecessor to the lynx, with a associated front end, nice car for it's time.

Your right I went back and looked at the photo closer, definately not a Lucas.
I think it is more likely a Baby Lynx from Composite Craft. I didn't think those cars ever went into full production. Someone did change the front end as it most likely used a beam originally.

That car in the pic looks like a Lynx back with AE front.

I think is actually a Composite Craft Lynx II. I had both the Lynx and the Lynx II, and I am pretty sure that it is the second version of the car. The front end is not original.
Man, that is going back a long ways....I won alot of races with that Lynx. I used to run a Bolink Schekee (sp) GTP body on it and we ran oval! A 235mm wide pan car with a GTP body that did not have the rear wheel wells cut out for "aero" purposes racing against the square oval bodies of the day!! Could you imagine someone showing up to an oval race now with a GTP body on their car? The oval guys would kill him!!!
