I've had the f109 for 1 month now.its my first f1 and I love it. I am facing one problem though.
I can't get any stable braking. Whenever I try to brake the car always spins.
I have no problem with traction (12.5t brushless), no problem in corner speed.
At the moment all I do is lift the throttle early enough for the car to slow on its own.
I have tried loosening the back with softer springs, looser diff. I be also tried every setting on esc and transmitter.
Any advice on what I should try to change?
PS: I am running rubber. Shimuzu soft at the back and medium in front.

I have only 25% of brake in my xerun rigth now.
Try the least ammount of brake you can. Motor is sensorless or sensored?
Sensored brakes better

Ok thanks. I was trying to reduce the braking until
I couldn't block the wheels but once I got under 50% I started to think something was wrong. I will just have to do like that.

2WD will spin even with foams when braking hard. Try 20~40% of drag brake set on your speedo at neutral, that helps a lot.

I'm getting ready to order the parts to do the crc mod. I also wanna get a set of front springs, which ones should I get? Do the crc front springs fit?
EDIT: Also, anyone know of any upgraded turnbuckles for the front end (camber link)? Isee there are titanium turnbuckles for the steering and pod links, but I didn't see any of the small ones.

For setup wise, the tires plays the most important role.
I just acquired a F109 recently too.
Had my first race on asphalt after 10 min of "virgin" run + setup session.
It handles like a dream, pretty similar to my 1/12
You may want to try out the below setting as a guide -
Front -
front spring:AE 0.20
Camber:1.5 Negative
Toe: 0.5 Positive
Droop: 0.5mm
*use tamiya carbon uprights + alu servo saver (original material is crap), file down 1mm or more to achieve desired ride height for rubber tires. Longer kingpin to remove preload on the front spring.
Rear -
Shock Oil: 20Wt for Rear, 20Wt for link
Spring: Tamiya "Hard"
Diff: 3racing out tuned + F104 carbon shaft and clamp-type wheel stopper.
Side spring: "CRC mod" with AE Silver (all hardware using AE)
Batt position: All the way to front. mod using 12R5 batt retainer to prevent the batt from hitting the center support. (need to drill a hole on the chassis for the retainer)
Droop: 1mm negative
Tires: Cold weather: Med front, Soft Rear (Shimazu tire)
Hot Weather: Hard Front, Med Rear (Shimazu tire)
I did other numerous small modification or changes on the car for durability issue.....
Have fun running!
