17.5 foam TC
10.5 foam TC

13.5 rubber
Mod Rubber

13.5 1 cell lipo 12th scale
mod 1 cell lipo 12th scale

10.5 1 cell lipo wgt

No VTA should be included in the Snowbirds, that class was a joke last year and should be specific to large VTA events exclusively.

i'm pretty much done at 4. i'd rather run foam sedan indoors, but i'd even more like us all to run the same tire. if rubber is that class, so be it. i'll miss the crazy groove from the days of 1600 (~400x4) total foam tires putting down the dope, though.

good to see some acknowledgement that the tight competition at the big races has almost vanished. used to be 2-3 seconds for the main. now a full lap off pace will still get you 8th on the grid.

Larry, why do you figure foam TCs should be ran with slower motors than rubber TCs? I've always felt it is easier to control a powerful motor in foam, so I would have reversed your motor assignments.

There doesnt need to be anything faster than 10.5 foam, Trust me its fast, you can put the power down way better than rubber. Mod foam will probably be .1-.2 faster than 10.5 this year that should not justify another class.

Mod rubber might draw some of the big names from out of the Country, mod foam does not do this.

Nothing happened and that is the point there was 1 maybe 2 heats and from what I saw noone really cared about it.

I'm not dismissing VTA by any means I just dont think it has a place at the snowbirds.

Coming from someone thats not going to make an A main at the 'birds having one class that most fast guys don't care about can do two things, give the little guy a chance to make an A, and give stressed out racers a relaxed class to break the tension a bit, itd be cool to see it even be a amateur spec class where sponsored drivers couldn't run it, but I know that would make Haynes sad

Snowbirds is a big carpet race which is what this is about.

Was VTA that popular last winter? It seems like its gained in popularity since then. Perhaps it would do better next time. Not sure. I suspect VTA is populated primarily with racers that don't do a lot of national travelling.

My thoughts exactly. I'm not totally sold on the 1C 1/12 scale thing yet, but whatever. It looks like that is going to be the direction it is headed. If so, then it is what it is.
